Sandy, I got out this morning at .0285
I love this stock...I'll buy back in below .025
Printable View
I shaved a little at .0234 awhile back...never dipped below that so I picked up almost twice as many shares of behl @.012 and .0095. Definately nice to see green guys!!!!
OCNF is rising today.
This has not been one of my better investments. Anyone have any thoughts on OCNF?
QASP just dropped below 2 cents shortly after it hit .0289
I unloaded 150,000 today above .0285 and I just replaced them at .02
You gotta love a stock that swings that much!
I hope some of you have been buying JBLU, JetBlue,
It's up 42 cents today, so anyone buying a 1400 share block yesterday and selling today would have made a nice 550 bucks or so......
LOL, squigglies coming thru... got a key close, just over 0.01 -> 0.101. I put in a record amount for the pennies, though, it was basically what I cashed out earlier, so it's almost to the point of nerve racking, lol... it's still pretty small compared to the stuff you guys do. Now let's hope the confusing ebita a/s o/s r/s 8k 10Q crazy business doesn't take me down. :googley:
Man, I am still trying to get a grip on what happened yesterday. We got tipped off on the shrub by about ten minutes, maybe less ... In the mere minutes it took me to read the link to the SOS detailing the A\S increase, a quick glance back to Etrade Pro ... it was already down to .019 and the PR hadn't even hit ...
Was hoping to come 'home' here and find our superior intelligence all over this thing, making sense out of it ... :rolleyes: Maybe we are all just as a perplexed. The big question in everyones mind is whether or not these new shares are restricted, it's a bit confusing ... I think the following may be the most plausible;

Based on my calculations, I have a few questions. If they issued Class B preferred stock equal to 40% of the outstanding in order to receive the $350 million loan, then I understand why they raised the AS. However, this doesn't mean the OS has increased. The OS will only increase if the Class B series is converted, which may never happen if the company pays the loan back over the next several years.
Am I correct that the OS may not increase based on this deal. It will only increase if the shares are converted. Am I missing something?

Granted, it is more in the form of a question ... I don't know, will post all the pertinent info if anyone wants to give it a go, can make sense of it ...

Comtex JACKSONVILLE, FL, Feb 09, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) ----Quasar Aerospace Industries, Inc. Best I can tell class B shares are restricted, what we may have seen yesterday was sheer panic and the leemings falling off a cliff ...
Or ... I don't need to explain the rest.
Today should be telling.
I read the release and bought as soon as the price dropped. I'll buy more this morning if the price doesn't rise too quickly.
I think this is all a part of the loan process in order to expand the company. Expansion is GOOD! I'm all for it.
I think this is very much a money maker whether you daytrade or stay as a long. Either way, in the end, there will be much money made on QASP
I'm also thinking it was the 20-somethings who have short-term attention spans selling off QASP at the first hint of anything not defined as "normal".
These kids seem to have no patience, nor reading comprehension skills.
The PR that QASP put out -once read slowly and with comprehension skills of, say, a sixth-grader- provided no reason to immediately sell off my shares (or anybody else's).
It was fun to watch, regardless. Today...QASP is recovering.
I do think the PR was a sign that the company has secured the financing. Watch the next week for bigger PRs, in my opinion. The lemmings will be kicking themselves...
I think something like 30 million shares traded hands under 2 cents. I watched that with total amazement. I kept re reading the PR and I just could not figure out why anybody would sell on that news.
You are right Greg, there are some very sore butts out there this morning.

Quasar Aerospace Industries Takes Option in High Tech Landmine Company
ShareThis| Respond to Editor | Print
Comtex
JACKSONVILLE, FL, Feb 10, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) ----Quasar Aerospace Industries, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: QASP) has purchased an option to take a controlling share in BVI company, Mineseekers Operations Overseas Ltd, and its subsidiary Mineseeker Operations UK Ltd.
The company has a unique ground penetrating radar system that can detect landmines from an aerial platform, combined with a GPS and video mosaic system that will accurately map minefields and produce detailed photographic images of affected areas.
With a global market estimated to be in excess of $50 billion, covering over 90 countries, the scale of the landmines problem is enormous. Landmines are a humanitarian disaster that kill and maim victims in post-conflict areas on a daily basis and blight thousands upon thousands of acres of land that could otherwise be used to grow food in some of the poorest areas of the world.
The United Nations estimates that it will take several hundred years at the current rate to rid the planet of the tens of millions of buried landmines and other munitions left behind in war zones since the First World War. The Mineseeker technology is designed to vastly reduce the cost involved and the time taken to identify both landmines and other ordinance, which at the present time are located by operatives who painstakingly probe the ground by hand.
Dean Bradley, CEO of Quasar Aerospace Industries, said, "I am delighted to have secured the Option on the Mineseeker business and am keen to finalise the agreement before the end of this month so that we can move forward together and deliver this much needed breakthrough to the market."
"There is a massive and urgent need to tackle this landmine problem and we have the team and the technology to do it," he added.
"Furthermore, once the acquisition is completed we will be looking to deploy the technology for use in other commercial applications which would benefit from the high tech surveys that we can offer. The synergy with Quasar with its assets and interest in aircraft and training is obvious and we feel that this acquisition will be an excellent fit."
Mike Kendrick, Chairman of Mineseekers Operations, commented, "We are delighted that Quasar Aerospace Industries will become our investor in this company. There is a massive humanitarian need to rid the planet of the scourge of landmines. Currently it can cost up to over $1 million dollars per square kilometre to clear to declare landmine free. We will be able to survey a square kilometre at a fraction of that price -- delivering a healthy profit for our investors while fulfilling a massive need. The landmine problem is a man made disaster. Now we have a man made solution."
