this was considered a very positive step in avoiding bk...

the media never put the focus on the debt holders... Instead they gave you obsticles they knew would clear. Reaching deals with treasury, union, fiat.. but it all came down to 2 debtholders. 2 debt holders caused the bk. So for you to say the media was always pointing at bk as inevitable is not true. they left it in doubt to the very last second.

It's time for the sun to move into a busier period for sunspots, and while forecasters expect a relatively mild outbreak by historical standards, one major solar storm can cause havoc with satellites and electrical systems here.
Like hurricanes, a weak cycle refers to the number of storms, but it only takes one powerful storm to create chaos, said scientist Doug Biesecker of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's space weather prediction center.
A report by the National Academy of Sciences found that if a storm as severe as one in 1859 occurred today, it could cause $1 trillion to $2 trillion in damage the first year and take four to 10 years to recover.
Today there's a lot more than telegraph lines at stake. Vulnerable electrical grids circle the globe, satellites now vital for all forms of communications can be severely disrupted along with the global positioning system. Indeed, the panel warned that a strong blast of solar wind can threaten national security, transportation, financial services and other essential functions.
Don't forget Y2K hysteria, and the latest swine flu nonsense.....no worries on sun spots for now. We've seen these before....some mild disruption happened, nothing worth worrying about. But, of course, that's what scientists said about the chances of major tsunami before the one that nearly wiped out portions of Indonesia......:confused:
Everyone on the Howard Stern show needs to throw out the first pitch, it would be the greatest publicity stunt for Sirius XM ever.
Every major news org is picking this up

yeah charles that is the publicity they havnt gotten in a long time.
Boring........... When the hell is this stock going to start trending north?
when people get so bored they start selling haha, remember its not about entertainment its about making money :o
Never said media "was always" . i dont have to time to get all links but I remember many articles predicting Chrysler's bankruptcy because it was known that it was very unlikely they would ever get 90% of bondholders to agree to a deal to keep them out of bankruptcy. That is exactly what happened. By the way that's exactly what they are saying about the GM situation. The 90% of bondholders will probably not agree to what GM and the Govt want. Anyway we shall wee:)
Sorry fellas, but just read ANOTHER article bashing siri.Something about the Chrysler deal.I really could only manage to read half the damn thing,it was so disgusting. I have really had enough. When I get to my mean and able to bail,I'm done.Of course that may take years and years. I have had this stock way to long and it's just way to stagnate. Dead beat.Took a week to hit .50 and 1 hour to .40. Flat again at .41 and not moving. When is the magic everyone is waiting for going to happen? Where is the mystery magician Mel K?Sorry, but this stock really should be trading at better than .41. Someone is not doing their job.
u talking about that paidcontnent article? the name says it all somebody paid to get that article there. they always bash siri. read what marketwatch reported morepeople will listen to marketwatch than paidcontent.org

OMG...somebody please yank this stock off life support. Enough already.

I know, I know... I am just venting some frustration, just tired of the bullshit of this stock.......

It's gonna hang like this until iPhone app is either released, or definitive positive news about it comes out. If Apple could be part of the press release, that would be awesome, but it is probably unlikely. There are tons of Apple apps out there, and Apple doesn't promote all of them as individual applications. Let's hope they do stand with SIRI on their satrad app.
Hey, the Chinese auto market is hot now...how about launching one of those new sats over Beijing and piping Chinese programming over there. That would be HUGE! Or, could be misinterpreted as spy satellite and start WWIII...."Mel launches missile at Chinese...."
Sorry man.....Guess what I think.I think this stock is 1b6k 359cri`23[prmodfj;
