What happened at Seeking Alpha?
2. Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI), $0.14
The original "dollar menu" article included Sirius XM, back when it had just dipped below the $1 mark. Things obviously haven't gotten any better for shareholders, even though the company's near-term prospects improved substantially when it received a $530 million capital infusion from Liberty Media (Nasdaq: LINTA) last month.
The likely alternative would have been a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, so investors skirted disaster. However, Liberty's money didn't come cheap, with Sirius committing to a hefty 15% interest rate on the first part of the infusion and surrendering 40% of the company for the rest.
In short, Sirius XM got a lifeline to get it through the next few months. The bad news is that the heavy dilution will keep stock gains in check in the future.
WASN'T DILUTION ALREADY PRICED INTO the then .06-.011 SP? This guy is ridiculous trying to play both sides and cover all scenarios and try to sound prophetic either way...
They sent us a message......it was Luca Brazi's shoes wrapped up with a fish in some plain brown paper!
Winagain35...
Like the Pilgrims, we had two choices at SA. Live in their unfinished basement or seek new lands..basements are too damp for the dog..They disallowed us from posting on articles anymore..
what's up asm & koop...
Asm, I was looking into a new BB. I'm still not a fan of this "page" system. Being able to scroll through all posts is way better. This one company gives a 30 day trial. I might just set it up and see how it comes out. I can always get a refund if we don't like it...
dmo...
There is still the matter of I believe 24M shares of dilution from the Liberty deal yet to come. That dilution was not necessarily priced in when the SP hit .06. That was pending BK. The dilution would still hit the stock but A. we don't know when and B. With this many shares out the SP would recover from the hit...we saw like a 50M Fund liquidation that took the SP down a few cents then it bounced back.

Leave the gun but take the canoli...
I wonder if David Jackson needs to wake up with a bloody dogs head in his bed one morning?? Like Mel LOL
sl62, I dont think it was anything more then the fact that SA articles could no longer be viewed after a day or 2, due to the amount of comments. The fact is we were hurting their site. the less views means less they can charge their advertisers.
Welcome guys.
Did they wholesale block users? Or did they pick and chose posts to display? I am just curious how so many of you wound up here.
There are hardly any rules around here, no spamming and make sure that you don't use **** in every other word in your post... a little **** here an there is fine ;)
sl62,

I was trying to buid a site today.....but it was over my head...I'm not a techie. It's free...thats why i went there.
They also cherry picked whose comments stayed or got deleted. I personally was pretty annoyed!
I don't think that anything but the final deal approval is keeping the stock price down right now. s162, as we have already said, the KPMG bill of good health, JPM extending the $250M, Malone paying off the UBS $100M, and not having a bad 4Q and resulting in at least $350M COH is what is holding the SP down. I know I sounded negative this morning with make posts that were taken down, but, I don't think it is wise for anyone to simply look past these issues at this time. Having sold shares based on knowing that an extension was coming on Monday, and now knowing we have two weeks for the MSM to play around with everyone's fear, I think there is an opportunity to buy back at a lower price. I did by 10K shares at .1302 today and have another buy in at .1202 and .1102 for the rest. I am not trying to talk the price down... I am simply facing the reality of the this company and what it does to itself... by doing things like missing its Filing date.
Charles, yes you are correct. You would think they would have done something like you did on the main page which was put in an older comments section.
Its the only real solution. Either that or retire them. but that wouldn't be cool.
It may have caused them issues at SA...But the indiscriminate censorship was only related to people with long term comment history. Stray off topic, you get wiped. Stay on Topic, you get wiped. There was a hint of this when a number of the hard core people had lost account priviliges. Sorry to say, SA even went a far as changing titles of the articles at times. When you are not reporting everything as it occured, you are not reporting history. You are shaping history when you change titles, and arbitrarily wipe people's comments.
cos1000, boy is that great great grand kid of yours growing up. That is the same baby you used to use right.
I am not going to lie, I have to remove about 1 in 200 comments because someone goes way over the top. If you want your comment to stick make your point eloquently. I don't care if you want to write 5 sentences about how I am personally an asshole.... I will leave it in place as long as every other word isn't a swear ;)
I wanted to personally extend a warm welcome to friend and foe alike! I was disappointed to see that I only received 10 comments on my latest article at seeking alpha, only to discover they had basically kicked everyone to the curb! A special thanks to Relmar for thinking of us. I'm glad we got you approved last week for posting!
