Otis Redding's sons Otis III (guitar) and Dexter (bass) formed The Reddings in 1980 with cousin Mark Lockett (drums, keyboards). Their first single, Remote Control, went to #6 on the R&B chart and #89 on the Hot 100 in January 1981. Among their other hits are Call The Law, I Want It, I Know You Got Another and a remake of Otis Redding's 1968 hit The Dock Of The Bay.
