Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney to President Donald Trump, has tested positive for Covid-19, Trump announced. "Get better soon Rudy, we will carry on!!!" Trump wrote today on Twitter.. Giuliani has not announced his diagnosis. CNN has reached out to him for comment.
The former Mayor of New York has been crisscrossing the country to battleground states, leading the President's long-shot legal battle to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential election. Giuliani has repeatedly disregarded public health guidelines, appearing maskless in state capitols, hotel ballrooms and at indoor news conferences in recent weeks. At many of the events, most of the other people in the indoor settings were also not wearing masks. At some of those events, Giuliani was spotted shaking hands, hugging and taking pictures with people while not wearing a mask.

Man fined $3,500 for breaking Taiwan coronavirus quarantine for 8 seconds

Taiwanese authorities have slapped a $3,500 fine on a man who broke quarantine regulations for just eight seconds. The man, a migrant worker from the Philippines, was quarantining in a hotel in Kaohsiung City when he briefly stepped out of his room into the hallway, the city's Department of Health told Taiwan's official Central News Agency. The man was caught on CCTV by hotel staff, who contacted the Department of Health. The department fined him 100,000 Taiwan dollars – around $3,500.

Good, who was wearing a Trump 2020 hat but no mask, lauded the crowd. "I can’t tell you how great it is to look out there and see your faces," said Good, who won Virginia's 5th Congressional District seat last month. "This looks like a group of people that gets it. This is a phony pandemic. It’s a serious virus, but it’s a virus, it’s not a pandemic." Good's remarks come as the United States reports a record-breaking number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths.

Canada’s Justin Trudeau and US President Joe Biden agreed to meet next month, the Prime Minister’s office said on Friday, following a call between the two leaders in which they vowed to join forces to combat coronavirus in North America. Trudeau, who has been keen to embrace the new President and move on from the often tumultuous Donald Trump years, was the first foreign leader to speak with Biden since Wednesday’s inauguration. The two “recognized that both countries’ fundamental priority is to end the global COVID-19 pandemic,” Trudeau’s office said in a statement. They also discussed collaboration on vaccines. It is not clear whether the meeting will be face to face or virtual.

President Joe Biden today announced a series of measures aimed at ramping up coronavirus vaccine allocation and distribution, including the purchase of 200 million more vaccine doses and increased distribution to states by millions of doses next week. With those additional doses, Biden said there would be enough to fully vaccinate 300 million Americans, nearly the entire US population, by the end of summer or early fall. The President also took action on to increase the weekly vaccine supply to states, tribes and territories – upping the current 8.6 million doses to a minimum of 10 million doses weekly..

Today, President Biden signed into law a $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill which includes $1,400 stimulus checks, extends weekly unemployment benefits and increases the child tax credit. The bill was passed by the House, 220 to 211. Every Republican – every one! – voted against it. As we learned from Donald Trump's 2017 tax overhaul, Republicans do not care about the poor and the middle class. They care about banks, big corporations and the wealtheiest Americans. Not even a pandemic changes that.

I think the main reason people do not want to be vaccinated is because they are afraid of side effects, but any side effects would be very mild and certainly would not be as bad as the virus. What I do not understand is why Republicans are more opposed to the vaccine than Democrats are.
