Back in my drinkin' days, I used to love craps - yelling and screaming! I don't know how much I won or lost, but it was a lot of fun. Now that I don't run around all glassey eyed at casinos, I'm actually trying to win, despite the odds.

I once spent days trying to come up with a roulette strategy - which is about impossible - or is impossible I should say - it doesn't work too bad if you manage your money, I refound it a while back, and found a table here in CA that was single zero, and I'm still about even, but I know with that game, its a losing proposition. I just think its fun to think I have a system.

I'd get killed at poker too - but at least in that game, if you're good you can win for sure.

Geez, I slept a little, nothings changed on anything I'm keeping an eye on. So much for being awake early for a change. Maybe I'll "use my system" and go buy a few lotto tickets.

such a flat day in my portfolio. i hate going to bed at 3 , waking up at 9 ready to pull some triggers and -----DUD.

-- MGLG--looks like some stops were hit at .0010 . i read somebody had a buy at .0011 that wasnt filled. anyone here confirm? reminds me of the time siri had the big dip to .26 right before it jumped to .63...wishful thinking , but who knows. still a waiting game.

anyways im out for a while. this boredom is driving me crazy. i wish i could say my patience is wearing thin but thats not the case, im still going strong on my picks and not giving up.

Locked myself out of the house, took an hour and a half bus ride to work, didn't miss a thing....

It looks like I didn't miss a whole hell of a lot today. I tiled a laundry room today and have to grout it tomorrow along with shooting the baseboards back in. It feels good to do something a little bit physical for a change <yawning>.

Does anybody have anything new to look at?

MGLG just sits there...that is a good thing. :)

Yawn indeed ... Glad that habit is working out for you Bill (work) :D .. I think I have developed a knack for what might be called "Parking lot stocks" - If I buy 'em, that's where they go ... nowhere :( (Well, at least SIRI is moving ....)

Was tooling about the "Spoke" earlier, interesting bunch over there on mglg ... Someone did raise my attention a bit about the number of shares outstanding. Do we have a true, known number? Also ... how far are you guy's planning on riding this thing out to? Redundant question likely ... just trying to rethink this matter and my duration in it.

On a fundamental basis, If a company adds a revenue stream, is there a good way to figure out how it could affect stock price? Lets say a company has 30 billion shares outstanding. It reports an additional revenue stream of 30 million/year. This new revenue would be an additional .001/share. If the average industry P/E ratio is 18X, would it be feasible to say that it would mean a bump in share "value" of .018(ish)?

that sounds right. but i think the industry avg is between 8-10x (if your talking about ng and oil).

Nope, good to get back in when work is over. I was pretty lucky - it was about 12:20 pm when I got locked out, so everyone was at work, and I just moved and it seemed like using the bus would require a lot of transfers and going downtown. Ended up, I only had to change once, and the route was pretty direct.

You should see me look for my keys everyday, or worse, when I had to park in the big lot - me looking for my car for 30 mins after work.

Many of these shipping stocks have reversal candles (except DSX, which looks like it did bounce and is turning back around possibly), and landed on some support levels. The shipping index I follow also seems to hit a stopping point. The index has retreated much farther than the sectors and general indices that have seemed to pause on tops - I wish the rest would move. I thought of trying to get some shares AH, but thought I'd wait until tomorrow. But with the the rest of the market kind of paused - ie. slight breakdown, with a retest from last I looked, I'm hesitant. Any of you have any ideas? I'd like to see both the markets, and the ships move in unison - but also like to play the EOD of the candle reversals for a decent entry to allow for a tight stop (too late for that I guess). I guess a small position at first would be the best call if the open is up and the prices rise from there. I have to get to bed on time though.

Yes, I used a whole different set of muscles today and they are feeling pretty weak at the moment. As for my "Habit"....there is one good thing about it - More stock money without touching my bank account. I don't work cheap, lol. There isn't any sense in it.

How far are we going with this stock? How far can it go? I don't know now, because there is product attached to it. Once numbers hit I predict that we will be trading in the 2 billion a day mark at least. The price should go up. I am just not sure how high it will go on the initial run, so it is difficult to figure a price until the initial pullback. It certainly should be higher than it is now unless those wells start sucking instead of blowing! ;)

Dave, there are a shitload of charts out there that are so similar. Mglg really looks quite the same and I have seen a lot others that are doing the same thing.

If this market holds up it could be a good thing, but I am really leery about making any purchases in the Nasdaq and NYSE right at this time.

Pennies are in their own universe. :rolleyes:

They are money-making little devils though.

The BDI is looking really bad. All the indicators are pointing to doom also. I wouldn't be buying boats right at this moment.

hope you realize that when the numbers are posted, it will only be for the initial 13 wells, not all 24.
