The COVID-19 death toll is now 46,123 in the United States and 181,356 worldwide. On January 22, King Donald the First told CNBC: "We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It's going to be just fine." Yeah. Uh-huh. Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions.

The number of people infected with the COVID-19 virus is now 2,621,436. The death toll has reached 46,771 in the United States and 182,989 worldwide. This letter from Donald Bentley of La Puente appears in today's Los Angeles Times:
"Who should be surprised by Trump's blatant disregard for human life as COVID-19 rages through our country? Before the pandemic, there were signs everywhere of his indifference, disdain and scorn for those facing health maladies, beginning with his mocking in 2015 of New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who has a disability. We cannot fight and beat this pandemic with a man like him in office."

The COVID-19 death toll is now 49,845 in the United States, 25,549 in Italy and 190,654 worldwide. King Donald the First conducts daily coronavirus press briefings. Actually, what he does is tell several lies about the virus, contradict all the world's health experts, praise himself for being such an amazing President (at least in his own mind) and turn each press briefing into a "vote-for-me" campaign rally. King Donald continually denounces the news media – with the exception of Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump cheerleading Channel – as "fake news" and "the enemy of the American people." King Donald continually denounces news reporters – with the exception of those at Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump cheerleading Channel – as "dishonest" and "never-Trumpers" who make up stories. King Donald's biggest complaints are that they tell the truth about him and they don't believe the many thousands of lies he tells. One reporter dared to stand up to King Donald. Off with his head!

The COVID-19 death toll is now 54,121 in the United States and 202,973 worldwide – and the loony, lamebrained, lying, Lysol-loving loser in the White House is having a horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad day.
Trump goes into hiding
CNN, Apr 25 2020 3:17 PM
It looks like President Trump is going into hiding – from the press, that is. Facing an avalanche of controversy over his bizarre comments on sunlight and dangerous comments regarding disinfectants, the President held a record short briefing Friday evening (sans Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx), abruptly ending it after 22 minutes of statements without taking any questions from the press. On CNN, Wolf Blitzer called Trump "chicken" and said he was "probably afraid" of the grilling he was all but certain to face over the "flat lie" he told the day before regarding disinfectants. Later in the night, Anderson Cooper, who argued Trump was guilty of Soviet-like spin for pretending his comments were sarcastic during a bill signing, said he "cut and ran" because he knew he'd face hard questions.

Worldwide, 2,966,489 people have contracted the COVID-19 virus. The death toll is now 205,928, including 54,941 in the US, 26,644 in Italy, 23,190 in Spain, 22,614 in France and 20,732 in the UK. The CDC initially reported the symptoms of the coronavirus as fever, cough, shortness of breath and/or difficulty breathing. Today they identified six more symptoms, including headache and sore throat. That's just fine. Now everyone who has a headache or sore throat will start panicking, believing he has COVID-19.

The COVID-19 death toll in the United States s now 55,412 – and King Donald the First continues to play doctor, even though he knows nothing about health, nothing about medicine and nothing about science. He suggested we inject ourselves with Lysol and now he says holding press briefings is "a waste of time" because those mean, nasty, dishonest reporters insist on calling him out over his idiotic comments. The Donald Trump playbook never changes: Lie, divert, lie, distract, lie, deflect, lie, blame others, lie. Oh, and lie.

'Pathetic': Schumer slams Trump's coronavirus testing blueprint
NBC News, Apr 28 2020 7:01 AM
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer today slammed President Donald Trump's new blueprint to ramp up coronavirus testing, saying that it lacked details about how states should implement the plan. "You know the report they issued yesterday? It was pathetic. It didn't have any details. And then at the end, it said let the states do it," Schumer said in an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Schumer said he plans to send a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to push for oversight hearings when the Senate reconvenes at the Capitol next week in which committees could call members of the White House coronavirus task force and Trump administration as witnesses. "No one in the administration has given an answer specifically as to how the states should do it and that's one of the reasons I think we need to get the hearings,”"Schumer said.
Schumer expressed frustration that Trump has not used the Defense Production Act to appoint a czar in charge of disseminating critical supplies such as testing kits. Addressing Trump directly, Schumer said, "Other countries are way ahead of us. Donald Trump, you're hurting the recovery you want so badly, by not having the tests. The best way to recover quickly is testing, testing, testing."
