Ray,
Thanks for the heads up on SHSNQ at Invester hub. I checked it out but it does not look good for me. A little hope . . . but not much. I will not cry too much it was a gamble and I knew it. More of a blow to my ego than my wallet.
Looking around I noticed LEHLQ might be a consideration for some quick in and out play. Sitting at .05 right now but has some spiking on the charts that looks intriguing.

I have a call in with Smurfit this morning. 1-877-264-9638. From what I can read and hear, everything is just fine...As a matter of fact, really good. I am just posting this number here so you can do your own DD and ask them any questions that you have before buying. I have no fears with them. I encourage you to call investor relations though and talk to them for your own comfort. It is good to stay in touch with them. They are nice people.
SSCCQ is a fine company in my opinion. The stock is going up at a very normal and pleasant rate, so you decide. I am long with them. ;)
Have a great trading day! I will check in,
Bill
screw ireland. im selling every green shirt i have.
Today might be a good time to watch OCNF, DRYS and FREE really closely. The futures are down and the prices may fall. Of course the dry shipping stocks have a mind of their own. The amazing thing is the BDI (Baltic Dry Index) has been up the last 8 days and the stocks have been slowly drifting down. The fact that they have been dropping, with their index up, is a quite contrarian indicator.
Today could be interesting, but we shall see. Personally, I want to buy OCNF again as cheap as possible and then just sit on it. I don't care whether it is OCNF, SBLK, FREE, EGLE or DRYS. Whichever one is the cheapest is the one I will buy. They are all good.
Dry shipping stocks move at their own pace, but having a lot of experience with them, I know one thing - they always go back up. Sometimes it takes some time. They have been very faithful to me over a course of time.
They are something to watch and buy at a good price point. What that point is can sometimes tricky, but if you have followed them, you should be able to make a good determination.
I have some other stocks that I may post later, however, I want to test them first this morning.
Have a great trading day :)

UPDATE: Allied Irish Banks Chrmn Retires, Calls For Change
Last update: 5/13/2009 6:44:41 AM

Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
DUBLIN (Dow Jones)--Allied Irish Banks PLC (AIB) Chairman Dermot Gleeson Wednesday announced his retirement, while calling for change and "a clear signal of accountability" at the bank.
Speaking to a crowded Annual General Meeting, he apologized and expressed "regret" for some of the lending decisions made by AIB during the property boom.
Like all major Irish banks, analysts say AIB is effectively fighting for its survival as an independent entity in the aftermath of the property market crash.
Gleeson said the government's EUR400 billion deposit guarantee of the Irish banking industry and recapitalization of AIB will help preserve AIB as an independent institution.
The bank will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting later Wednesday to approve a EUR3.5 billion government recapitalization of the bank to help offset its bad debts.
AIB previously said it aims to further increase its core Tier 1 Capital by EUR1.5 billion, while the government has said it will take a controlling interest if necessary.
Gleeson said AIB will pay about EUR400 million a year - EUR280 million for the capital and EUR120 million for the guarantee - to the government.
At 1040 GMT Wednesday, AIB shares were down 9.3% at EUR0.93 after earlier this week warning in a trading update of further deterioration in its asset quality.
