Bill,
Thanks Bill, Impacted tooth ouch!!! You should really take the course when you get a chance, scuba diving is an amazing experience!!! Here is a tip for you, find a dive school close to where you live and complete the classroom work at home so when you get to Mexico or Coasta Rica all you have to do is the fun stuff!!! Ie. Diving lol!!! If you can not find a dive shop near you, you should be able to arrange something with PADI on the internet!!!
Bill you are never too old to get out there, just go out an enjoy yourself! I love just floating around on a surf board! I completely agree, rushes in life are important, without adrenaline I don't think I would feel alive!
Have a good one Bill!!!
Newman,
First off I apologize for taking up this thread with my chatter the last few days, I am just bored and working to much so I can't go out and party lol!
Diving is a blast!!! If SIRI skyrockets hell ill come teach anyone for free lol! We could make a trip out of it and celebrate our Will to stick it through this investment when everything seems stacked against us!!!
I am sorry to hear about your friends, that's a terrible loss for you! Helicopters are dangerous no matter what they are used for! I had one crash right over top of me, "close call" and knew about 8 pilots who had been in crashes...
Have a good night guys! :)
Hopefull: No reason not to get into some pointless banter, keeps things loose and layed back. (Notice I put the clause about Sirius going up? That keeps it on topic. Much like going out to eat with friends, mentioning 5 words about work and writing it off as a business dinner;)).
I have a freind that travels a lot and does a lot of diving. He has an underwater camera and brings back some AMAZING photos. Saw a thing on the discovery channel the other night about a "virtual dive tank" where they were working on being able to put you in a wetsuit in a pool, and then program any ocean or diving spot onto the screen so you can litterally navigate any spot you want from the convienience of a pool. It was an awsome concept.
I know you guys banter and dig for facts but if you can read through his BS when he is probably been drinking...he does offer up some good advice, I took this advice but I wish I could have been more patient because I could have got more at a lower price, thanks SO.

Yes you will be throwing good money after bad. This is not a buying opportunity...yet.
If the company survives this first "test" then there may be a window of opportunity between 2/17 and 2/23.
If you can't wait, you shouldn't be trading.
NOW....will somebody please tell my why I should wait until Wednesday to buy an XMP3, I have my whole day off planned around this thing tomorrow!!!! I'll even take guesses, but someone posted this advice without explanation earlier and its eating me alive.
I feel sorry for the people who are going to sell at or near .20 cents. LOL
They won. Long term longs are going to average out and sell at .20 cents. Im not even considering selling any shares until .50 cents. This BK scare, and trying to bottom this stock, and the negative media has worked on everyone, and selling at .20 cents is as good as being a short. How you will make the stock act at .20 cents for us real longs. Hope you all reconsider, or at least par back your planned sells at that price. Heres a novel concept. Why dont you plan your sales on news and facts and market cap, and not what you think the MM's will throw you as a bone.
Have a great day.
You should have seen cos1000 yesterday, shaking in his boots because he "sensed"bad news was coming. Even the true longs have been burned so much, I fear when the news turns, and the profits come, wont be many retail longs left to enjoy it. .75-$1 is the MINIMUM with current dilution this stock is worth.
Selling at .45-.50 cents fine, youve earned it I guess. But if you sell at .20 cents your nothing more than a trader, not an investor. An investor knows the true value of his investment, where a trader is looking to take what he thinks he can get on "a decent jump". Regardless of facts, news, etc...
Just take it...
So maybe make a new thread called, day trading Sirius....
relmar2003, As someone that has been long for some time. I dont think there is anything wrong with buying at .07, .08, .09, and selling at .20 or a little more. I mean I might if the greed monster doesn't grap me by the collar and pull me back down that hole. Now that does not mean I am selling the shares I got at 4, 3.5, 3, 2.5, and I cant go on anymore its making me sick. It just means that 1, 2, or 3 hundred percent is pretty good to make on shares I bought at .07 or at .11 or at .15, once again I cant go on because it is making me sick again. You see I still have the same feeling about the amount of spectrum the company holds that I did when I bought it at 4. The only difference is they just doubled it and took out the only real competition they had in doing so.
Maxing up the CC ?
Better than using margin... It gives you a nice time frame and goals for swing trading...
SELL if you start losing money and TRY NOT TO KEEP the balance on your card for more than the grace period... otherwise you will start paying interest on it and the stock will not only have to come up to make up for the trade commissions but for the interest also....The longer you keep the balance, the worst... I have done it in the past with $10,000 USD with a annual 9.9% interest = $83.00 monthly.
So with $10,000 you could buy 62,500 shares at .16 and for each month you keep the balance you will be adding about .001328 to the cost of the shares.
I wouldn't max the card though, leave some room there. Buy only 50,000 shares, if you have a $10,000 USD in credit ? Sound like a nice round number.
Keep a record and if you do keep the balance on your card for more than the grace period, do not forget to add the interest to the cost of your shares.
Demian, that is actually bad news believe it or not. I know you are asking why. Well as I said a long time ago that concession (along with the rest of them) was never really all that bad. As a matter of fact you could look at it as a plus for SIRIXM. Look they will get 4% of their content for free, Because while they dont get any revenue from leasing the channels they also dont pay for the content, that is left up to the people leasing the channels to pay for. So the bottom line is SIRIXM gets 4% of their content for free and you still have to subscribe to get those channels, THEY SAVE ON COST. That is one reason I cant help but think Mel did a great job. I say it again only Mel could have gotten this through the FCC with concessions that in the end for the most part actually benifit SIRIXM. I had put a thread out showing just this just after the merger was approved.

Monday
The new trading week kicks off with Charles Ergen's two companies -- EchoStar (Nasdaq: SATS) and satellite television giant DISH Network (Nasdaq: DISH) -- reporting their fourth-quarter results. Rest assured that EchoStar will be asked about its failed bid to acquire a sizeable stake in Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) earlier this month.
Does it still want a piece of the satellite radio company? Will it keep buying Sirius XM's maturing debt? There may be no clarity on Ergen's stance come Monday, but you know the questions will be asked.
Sirius spikes 3 cents on absolutely no news at all? Precisely at the end of the day...hhhmmm. Some large hedge fund or maybe several , did not want to be a short over this weekend.
Perhaps its the Sirius - Iphone Application? Something going to happen Monday?
Sirius to be upgraded - maybe, we will get more movement there.
Somebody knows something. Best off checking back on the stock 5 years from now. Im not selling mine. Im hoping to retire with my gains from a penny stock.

Liberty Media Eyes DirecTV Tie-Ins
Maffei: Satellite-TV Firm Explores Bundling In Sirius XM's Radio Programming
by Mike Farrell -- Multichannel News, 3/2/2009 12:00:00 AM MT
Liberty Media's bailout of Sirius XM Radio could lead to at least some bundled offerings with the media giant's DirecTV satellite-TV service, Liberty CEO Gregg Maffei told analysts last Wednesday.
Ok, think I figured out why we popped. A short squeeze due to the emails being sent out..
There was an email sent out to XM and Sirius subscribers:
"FIND OUT NEXT WEEK WHY SIRIUS MAKES MORE SENSE THAN EVER...
1 Week sales event, 3 deals, 3 ways to listen"
nothing else said....
The three ways to listen?
1.) Satellite Receiver
2.) Internet
3.) ?
Whats the last way?

in home i think, i dont think thats why we popped, it has alot to do with the bond holders and the fact that we have been underpriced for like 6 months now or even more.
