guys (and ladies)...
The SIRI Clipper has no room on it for BK cargo. We've got plenty of room for more subs, COH (stowed down below with all the rum LOL), Malone and his boys, believers, things like that. All BK rumors walk the plank or get keelhauled...
Personally, since Im at only a 2/3 full position right now, I dont care if it drops again to .01 cent. Great. But for all the people who would sell out and not get back in, those are the people I am concerned about. I would hope that enough damage has been done to peoples stcok accounts by rumors about Sirius, and we dont need responsible people who should know better adding to it.
Reading the blog last night confused me more than scared me, I am glad to see other believers on board! If it drops I am buying more for I think the reward is near. No fear!!
Well, my board of 20 stocks that I watch was 100% red today. Not one green and that's rare. Today was just plain UGLY. I wish I had the resources to get shorty right now. Decided I'm going to wait it out another month. So... this well-known permabear on Kudlow a few nights ago predicted htis market would make it's yearly bottom by this week's end. That was before yesterdays pop. So I was thinking yeah right. But I had a feeling he was predicting something (or trying to tell all the poor longs something). after today I think he's an insider who knoes the program of the big fish. I mean it makes sense. They've been QUIETLY dismantling this market since we hit 9K on Jan 5. I have to hand it to them. Nice freaking strategy and VERY WELL EXECUTED. So today we hit the 65's. I say they go down another 150 tomorrow to 6450. Then rip it down on the jobs report Friday to like 6050, then plan on a real rally to clear all these postions taken since Jan 5. I would love to see like 5990/ 625 S&P then a sharp pop on that and sustainable up to 8K. Now, Art Cashin keeps talking about a significant rally going into St. Pattys. He's said it more than one morning This was a devised strategy among shorts for this takedown since Jan. I think it's leaking out that this wil be the first major cover point. As I've said. Shorts have to be careful here. This market is literally like taking candy from a crying baby. We could be at Dow 5000 right now. Easy. We're not because it would cause a complete and utter panic and too many of us would just walk away and it would just kill our economy. They need us, so they also have to keep us interested. This is such a freaking game.
relmor, sl62, booie,
Are you guys familiar at tall with this:
AMRC Holdings”) was then the direct owner of AMRC. 4 At the time AMRC’s license was granted,
AMRC’s ownership structure was described as follows: AMRC was one hundred percent owned by
AMRC Holdings. 5 AMRC Holdings’ principal stockholders were American Mobile Satellite Corporation
(“ AMSC”), a publicly- traded corporation, and WorldSpace, Inc. (“ WorldSpace”). AMSC, the majority
shareholder with eighty percent equity in AMRC Holdings, was affiliated with Hughes
Telecommunications and Space Company and Delco Electronics Corporation. On March 14, 1997,
AMRC established a strategic alliance with WorldSpace giving WorldSpace twenty percent of AMRC
Holdings’ equity. 6 On October 15, 1997, the Bureau authorized AMRC to launch and operate an SDARS
system and denied Primosphere’s Petition to Deny AMRC’s application. 7 Primosphere filed an Application
for Review of the license grant. 8
3. After license grant, on October 30, 1998, AMSC and WorldSpace applied to the Commission
for consent to transfer control of AMRC Holdings from AMSC to WorldSpace. On June 8, 1999, AMSC
announced that it would reacquire WorldSpace’s interest in AMRC Holdings and on July 7, 1999, AMRC’s transfer of control application was withdrawn. As a result of the reacquisition, WorldSpace did
not retain any interest in the licensee.
Anyone know anything more about this situation. Do you know Worldspace has a website and is on the pinks......any info on who the actual owners are?
gina, I was laughing at that. I never said it was ok to buy more. This market sucks period. As a matter of fact I keep telling myself no dont do it or thats it I am not buying more of SIRIXM. I dont listen to myself, that is my problem. I dont however, want it to be someone elses.

1worldspace was founded in 1990 by Noah A. Samara, its Chairman and CEO, with a mission to provide digital satellite audio, data and multimedia services primarily to the emerging markets of Africa and Asia. A pioneer of digital satellite radio, Mr. Samara was also instrumental in the development of the satellite radio industry through his early involvement with XM Satellite Radio in the United States.
The company's mission is to provide a variety of high quality programming through a subscription-based service that uses low-cost portable satellite radios and is available in underserved markets that today lack programming choice. 1worldspace is the first and only company with rights to the world's globally allocated spectrum for digital satellite radio. Its broadcast footprint covers over 130 countries including India and China, all of Africa and the Middle East and most of Western Europe - an area that includes five billion people and more than 300 million automobiles. Its two fully operational satellites and ground infrastructure are based on proprietary and patented technology.
The Content
The company has assembled an extraordinary combination of news, sports, music, brand name content and education programming which it delivers to Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe. Currently, 1worldspace broadcasts 62 channels - 38 of which are content provided by international, national and regional third parties and 24 1worldspace-branded stations produced by or for 1worldspace. These stations represent the most popular international music formats including contemporary hits, country, classic rock and jazz.
1worldspace's program directors and radio jockeys operate from studios in Washington, DC, Bangalore, India and Nairobi, Kenya, where 18 original music and lifestyle channels are created for distribution. Four of these stations are also available in the United States, on the XM Satellite Radio network.
The Technology
The 1worldspace satellite network is comprised of two operational satellites that service three large geographic areas through three beams that are each capable of carrying up to 80 channels. These powerful L-band satellites have traveling wave tube amplifiers and on-board baseband processors that link with 1worldspace radio receivers equipped with a special micro-integrated circuit that processes the satellites' high-quality audio and data transmissions.
Broadcasters and organizations can uplink their content through a centralized hub site or an individual feeder link station. The satellite then transmits the signal received from the uplink, to any combination of the three downlink beams.

asm610, World Space was in trouble almost right from the start. The reason is they were based and started in India. The problem with that is India is a poverty state. They never had more then 500,000 subscribers most from India and at a rate of about 4 dollars per subscriber. With those kinds of metrics they were doomed before they had a chance.
XMSR of Canada has more then they do now and it only took them 3 years. SIRI of Canada now has about 1 million in about the same time as XMSR of Canada, and they charge 14.95 (Canadian) big difference.
