Right...thanks..got that part. Prospective buyers have orders at Bid price and prospective sellers at ASK price. So, buyers must pay the ASK price for seller to agree to sell the shares. But, sellers may drop ASK price to match Bids, and vice versa. NASDAQ computers match all this stuff up I guess, with MMs in the middle.
