In a new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times national poll of 5,108 eligible voters, 86% of Democrats believe Biden would "definitely" or "probably" beat Trump in 2020. In a head-to-head matchup of Trump and an "unnamed Democrat," voters would choose the Democrat by 51% to 37%. Slightly more than half would vote against Trump without even knowing who the other candidate is. This news would be a huge blow to Trump's huge ego – but of course he dismisses all negative polls as "fake."
This poll asked voters to create their perfect candidate. Democrats picked an older white guy.

In South Carolina, Biden is Democrats' top choice
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/in-sout...ts-top-choice/
The South Carolina poll was conducted before Biden spoke at a fundraiser and mentioned working with white supremacist James Eastland and segregationist Herman Talmadge when all three men were members of the Senate. Some of Biden's Democratic rivals are demanding he apologize for his "insensitive" comments. "Insensitive"? Biden merely pointed out that he sometimes had to work with racist Congressmen in order to get things done. Working with them does not mean he condoned their racism. Let's stop the infighting, candidates!

Remember when pompous, narcissistic, egotistical Donald Trump claimed, with absolutely no evidence, that the reason he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton in 2016 is because "three to five million" illegal votes were cast? In an interview that aired today on NBC's Meet The Press, Trump revealed that he still clings to his completely false claim. His enormous ego prevents him from acknowledging that Clinton beat him by 2,868,686 votes, a margin of 2.09%. What outrageous claims will he make if he loses in 2020?

Cheaper By The Dozen is a 1948 autobiographical novel by Frank and Ernestine Gilbreth, who were two of 12 children growing up in the same household in Montclair, New Jersey in the 1910s-20s. The book was turned into a movie in 1950 and again in 2003. Today a 24th Democrat entered the 2020 Presidential race. Democratic candidates must be cheaper when you get two dozen at a time.

Emperor Trump lies so much, nobody knows when he's actually telling the truth. Of course I'm assuming he occasionally does tell the truth. Maybe he doesn't. And he seems to be awfully afraid of Biden becoming the Democratic nominee for President.

In a column in today's Los Angeles Times, political writer Mary McNamara says the upcoming Democratic debates will not turn into a "cage match" the way the 2016 GOP debates did when Donald Trump "grabbed the spotlight as disruptor-in-chief" and "almost every Republican candidate left standing had surrendered to personal invective." She begins:
"It's safe to say no one will call anyone a 'moron' or a 'pathological liar' at the first Democratic debates. No one will insult anyone's parents or use derogatory nicknames. No one will threaten to start World War III. And no one, I mean no one, will be making semi-veiled comments about the size of their own or anyone else's genitals. Also, the President will be tweeting triumphantly about the debates' low ratings. Which is something I think we all can live with."
The June 26-27 debates will be televised live by NBC, MSNBC and Telemundo.

Donald Trump still has not begun to act "Presidential" as he said he would. He never will. He's a spoiled ten-year-old brat who likes to verbally attack everyone except Republicans, white nationalists, Vladimir Putin, Mohammad bin Salman and the NRA.

There is a Biden 2020 website. It's fake. It's a parody. It was created by Patrick Mauldin, a Republican who is working as a consultant and digital content creator for Emperor Trump's re-election campaign. Trump must believe he needs more help in 2020 than the Russians' many thousands of fake, pro-Trump Facebook accounts can provide so he's adding fake, anti-Biden websites to his "dirty tricks" campaign.

During the June 27 debate, Kamala Harris accused Joe Biden of working with two segregationists "to oppose busing." Yes, when Biden was elected to the Senate in 1973, two of his colleagues were segregationists James Eastland and Herman Talmage. Biden had to work with them. So did 97 others. Working together is how progress is made. And Biden did not oppose busing; he opposed forced busing. There's a huge difference. And, contrary to Harris' claims, Biden has been a lifelong proponent of civil rights. He supported the Equal Rights Amendment from its inception and he got the Voting Rights Act extended by 25 years. Harris thought her attacks would hurt Biden. They're hurting Harris.

Only 40% of Americans approve of Trump's handling of taxes and trade negotiations. A mere 17% say they received a tax cut and a majority say they are not benefiting from Trump's trade policies. Trump likes to take credit – sole credit – for a strong economy and stock market gains but his overall popularity remains at 38% while (as the Democratic candidates keep pointing out) the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.

Bernie Sanders' promises of free college, free healthcare, free Internet, free medicine, free lunches and free almost-everything-else aren't helping him any. In three new polls, his numbers are plummeting. Perhaps his "Feel the Bern" slogan should be changed to "Crash & burn."

During the 2016 Presidential race, Donald Trump ruthlessly attacked his opponents. He said Ted Cruz is a "liar" with a "mental problem." He said Ben Carson has a "pathological disease." He said Jeb Bush is "low-energy." He called Hillary Clinton "crooked," said she should be "locked up" and declared, "Honestly, I don't think she's all there." We can expect the same nasty "seek-and-destroy" tactics from the Trump campaign in 2020.

As a member of the Senate, Joe Biden opposed forced busing and worked alongside two segregationist Democratic Senators. Biden's critics are now falsely claiming Biden praised the segregationists and opposed all busing. Biden, who does not want to lose the support of African-American voters, is trying to set the record straight.

What goes up – the number of Democratic Presidential candidates – must come down. California Congressman Eric Swalwell will abandon his campaign and run for re-election. His "I will be bold without the bull" just might be the worst campaign slogan in history.

Pete Buggigieg's campaign raised $24.8 million in April-May-June. Joe Biden's campaign raised $21.5 million. In third place is a candidate who is refusing to host closed-door fundraisers and refusing to accept money from PACs, Washington lobbyists and wealthy donors. Warren's campaign is 100% grass-roots-funded. What a concept!

Kamala Harris is a skilled prosecutor. She knew when she told Joe Biden "I do not believe you are a racist," many Americans would immediately start wondering if he indeed is a racist. You're on the campaign trail now, Kamala, not in a courtroom. You don't need to show "reasonable doubt" regarding Biden's civil rights record.

Joe Biden's wife says he is not a racist – and she knows him much better than Kamala Harris does. And why is Harris attacking a member of her own party anyway? Biden told CNN last Friday it would be "great" to have a female President or Vice President. There has been speculation that he will choose Harris for his running mate if he wins the Democratic nomination. As the old country expression goes, wouldn't that knock your hat in the creek!

Americans have the right to shop, or not shop, at whatever stores they choose. It is a blow to Emperor Trump's enormous ego that some shoppers have decided to boycott The Home Depot because the billionaire co-founder is donating to Trump's re-election campaign. The Tweeter-In-Chief is angry with those whom he calls "vicious and totally crazed" Democrats for exercising their right to no longer shop at The Home Depot and he praised the "patriotic" co-founder for "contributing to your favorite President, me!" Yes sir, Trump has an ego as large as the universe.
