I usually stay out of this stuff, but in the past week I was so ready to just say "enough with the dirtbag references" to your naysayers.....
Well now, I've got to agree that you are being a dirtbag by only posting articles that support your view. I guess that the reference of Dirtbag #1 does fit.
Hey Slip60. I do a Google search daily on Sirius XM and I post the latest news. These 2 links were at the top of the results list today. If you are asking if I believe what is in the link(s), I can't answer that because I didn't read them. I am posting this information for the SIRI investors/traders here. As I posted before, I don't own a single share of Sirius XM. I have no skin in the game. As an investor of many equities, I like to get both sides opinions. It really helps me make more educated decisions. I am sorry if you don't like it when people post articles on the contrary.
Edit: I say this out of respect... you can put me on ignore if it really bothers you that much. It's a really cool feature of this forum.
Edit 2: If you type in Sirius XM in Google and then click on "More news for Sirius XM" you will see where I get my information. Of course if you do this tomorrow, you may not see it here. Hoping this helps you understand.
Edit 3: For those asking "why are you here then if you don't own Sirius XM? I will pose the following: Do you have to own a gun to be a member of the NRA? Do you have to be a Christian to go to church? Believe it or not, I have a lot more friends than enemies here.
Well folks... I am off to bed. I wish all the Sirius XM investors the best of luck tomorrow! I hope they hit a home run and the stock is off and running. Maybe with all the recent down days, tomorrow is setting up for a good day for everyone! Take care.
So we have this old basketball pole that no one uses anymore..the kind you can move around...with the weighted bottom on wheels. And so tomorrow is trash pick up day and we decided to get rid of it....my son and I were cutting up the pole into 4 ft sections with a sawsall and we found out the hard way that there was a huge yellow jacket nest inside.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean I cut right through the 4” metal pipe and right into the nest. I haven't run that fast in 30 years. Yellow Jackets are fast...they can fly up to 20 mph....lucky for me I didn't have to outrun the bees.....I only had to outrun my son. Poor kid.
On a lighter note....I tried to trade like SF today and failed miserably. Bot 10 AAPL July 31 calls with a 121 strike for $2.44.....$2,440 cost basis for those of you keeping score. SF said you have to be quick and he was right...With 10 minutes those strikes premiums were $3...Did I sell and take a quick $560 profit? Noooooooooooo! why? I dunno. Anyhow they went right back down to $2.44 and even lower...then within 30 minutes, climbed right back up to over $3....of course being the slow learner that I am I didn't sell then either....but I did learn to set a day limit order to sell at $3.05 in case they moved back up again. Unfortunately it was too late for that and those calls never recovered as AAPL faded into the close...Still have those calls so we'll see what happens tomorrow but I'll bet SF could've made a fortune twice today cause he spits on a mere 10 contracts....
funny....midas makes sure he lets everyone know that he is going to bed now and just like clock work his alter ego waldo shows up and throws a dig at sf, lol.
SF sometimes, minority of the time i post stuff to counter midas. But the majority of the time i post links to news articles mainly because thats what i feel this site is about. To share info that may directly involve or indirectly involve siri. And sometimes i post stuff just because i find it interesting. I just figure maybe wrongly that if people who dont have alot of time to search the web due to job, family, life issues, and they are members here, that they may see some stuff maybe they normally wouldnt.
Take today for example....i think i posted one link...it was about chrysler having to buy back half a billion vehicles. It was a link that involved the auto sector which is directly related most times to siri.
Yet midas who just posted two negative articles to fear monger on the eve of earnings...i did not counter. No need to. I think people are catching on to him.
Kinda funny he said to slip he posted the articles because he likes to get both sides opinions and because it really helps him to make more educated decisions....yet he admits he never read the articles. I ask anyone here...does that even make an ounce of sense????????????????????
funny you mention the front of this website has a news feed which is true...for some reason...i never even look at the front page...i just basically go straight to top to sign in to get to this forum. i usually get my stuff from yahoo news.

Hadn't seen this one yet...
The Turtles Lose Bid to Halt SiriusXM's $210 Million Settlement With RIAA
Higher guidance across the board. FCF per share up 25% in the second quarter.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/sirius...110000250.html
Market has totally miscalculated the share price. It will correct somewhere along the way. 20 times estimated 2015 FCF per share = $5.
Wow churn was only 1.6% thats the lowest i ever seen i think. I think they took half the charge...108 million?
3.90 premarket....
Took half of the settlement by the looks of things. Unbelievable quarter but keeps the eps at 2. Who knows how the market will react.
