The Miami conference began on Thursday and will conclude on Saturday evening. It included speeches focusing on a variety of issues including opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine. At least 99 of Florida's 113 Republican legislators are supporting Governor Ron DeSantis for President. Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said today the support for DeSantis is the result of an intimidation campaign: "DeSantis and his political cronies have continued to terrorize the Florida legislature with the threat of his veto pen if they don’t acquiesce to his demand to endorse his candidacy." Cheung, of course, gave no examples of any legislation DeSantis threatened to veto.
