Artie Lange Returns To Radio
Howard Stern fans have all miss Artie Lange. The comedian left the Howard Stern Show after 9 years when he, feeling the pressures of a life battling drugs and depression, attempted suicide in 2009. For the last two years the subject of Artie rarely comes up, but all who knew him simply wished the best for him. It has been a rare sensitive subject on the Stern Show.
Last week Lange made a return to radio, but it was not on the Howard Stern Show. Instead he filled in as a guest host on Fox Sports Radio. On the show Lange was asked about his time with Stern and the prospects of a return. He stated, “I was on the greatest show of all time for about nine years, and I put them in a very awkward situation, to say the least… I love them all, and they were great to me. I appreciate that.” Lange noted that he would love to return to the Stern Show.
Howard Stern and his team have been on vacation over the past week. It will be interesting to see what Stern has to say about the resurfacing of Artie Lange on the airwaves.

Looks like Artie was FIRED from the Stern Show!!!! I think that’s a HR LAWSUIT. The man is strung out on Alcohol and Drugs……where’s the drug treatment program provided by Stern’s Company!!
You are so RIGHT!! I totally agree, but I think Artie is afraid of “rocking the boat”. Most likely he’s going to just wait and hope for the best, in the hopes Stern will rehire him. It’s a shame what Artie went through. Howard seems like a complete PRICK to me… It almost sounds like he NEEDS everyone in his life to be “perfect” or he can’t handle having them as friends. Howard said that maybe the show wasn’t right for Artie because IF he were happy then he wouldn’t had done what he did. WHAT!? The show DIDN’T cause Artie to do what he did… Artie caused that. We all have thought about it, Artie just had enough balls to ACTUALLY go through with it. He sounds like a bigger man then Howard. So happy Artie is okay now… That show was AMAZING when he was on… Now it’s just okay. Howard seems to be a kiss ass with EVERY guest now… Lost touch with the middle class Americans who made him who he is today.
PS… Artie your amazing! Met you once at a movie theater I was working at, you asked me if I wanted to watch the movie with you… Would have if I wasn’t working. 😉
They really need Artie back. Without him, the show lacks a lot of energy. I don’t know if he’s just embarrassed, or if Sirius thinks he might be a liability, but his tenure there was definitely the golden age. I suspect that Sal, Richard, and DuPace would rather not see him back though.
