TuneIn, the company oft left out of the discussion when the subject of Internet radio is broached, has just made some major additions to their already impressive content line-up.  The company has announced new partnerships with more than 20 major broadcasting companies and because of the deals, will be adding over 600 stations to the over 50,000 they already offer.

Fox News Radio and  Bloomberg Radio are among the bigger brands associated with the new deal.  TuneIn has added over 30 million active new users  in the past year.

TuneIn uses a K.I.S.S. approach to Internet radio.  There are no gimmicks, no station building and no fancy interfaces. Instead it is like a library of content that is already available, they simply put it all under one roof.

While Songza will grab attention and get over a million downloads in a week before fading down the charts, TuneIn has been a steady player that consistently holds a top 20 spot on the download charts week in and week out.

TuneIn is fast becoming almost a content reference point for music and non-music content.  With recent additions like Fox News, TuneIn is flexing a bit of muscle and showing the power of what IP radio can be.   If you have not tried TuneIn, give it a shot.  You will not be disappointed!
