STOCK SHOCK – The Movie!
Several weeks ago, I wrote that Sirius XM had avoided bankruptcy “in a turn of events worthy of a Hollywood movie script.” I had no idea at the time that my words would be taken so literally, yet as some have rightly observed I mentioned again that Hollywood had now taken notice of the incredible saga that is Sirius XM Radio.
I was contacted several days ago by Sandra Mohr of Mohr Productions in regards to my willingness to be interviewed for a full length (72 minute) documentary which focuses on Sirius XM radio. Sandra’s intent is to showcase the merger, the manipulation, the media bias and the story of Sirius XM’s rise from the ashes. Sandra has expressed to me a desire to have this movie available in 12 weeks time. Already, several offers have come in to help finance the film, and the films budget has already been reached on word-of-mouth alone!
The film itself is very fluid at this stage. I did agree to be interviewed for the movie and as Sandra and I began discussions I was asked if I would be interested in being a consultant for the movie. I agreed in principal because I feel I can be of help with certain aspects of the movie, such as the interviews that will be held in NYC. For starters, I have sent an invitation to Mel Karmazin. As the company spokesman, I feel it is his right to be featured in the film and Sandra concurs; No one knows the storyline better. I also hope to contact certain Wall Street analysts who have on many occasions expressed their frustration over the streets unwillingness to value Sirius XM fairly. Tony Wible comes to mind as an example. We are tentatively scheduled to begin shooting in the New York City area from March 18 -23.
This documentary will not reveal names of market manipulators and money managers. It will, explain the overall process of exploiting the common shareholder, put a face on the victims and motivate the viewer to do his own part to get involved and demand accountability.
To protect identities, some scenes will be filmed as “shadows” with blacked out appearances and voices concealed. From shareholder to analyst, to market maker, if anyone is interested in being considered for a part in this movie, please drop me an e-mail at [email protected].
Position: Long Siri
Is it April 1st yet? Hold on let me check my calendar…… NOPE!! OK, Uhmmm…. Is this a horror film? Can’t wait to see, oh wait everyone gets killed in the end right!!!
Yeah, they get it in the end alright!!
“You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension – a dimension of lose, a dimension of plummeting share price, a dimension of disbelief. You’re moving into a land of both shorts and dilution, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into the SIRI/XM Zone”
DE-DE-DE-DE!!
Hey Dread, nice Rod Serling imitation. SXM’s extra terestrial and unbelievable nature does remind me of “The Twilight Zone.” Nice analogy!
I can be the one who jumps off a bridge after loosing his home and all that was saved for his childrens college. I was convinced by CRAMER!!!!
Loosing?
Cool.
I’ve been with this stock for a long time, it’s been a weird ride.
That is pretty exciting for Sirius and for you. I can’t wait to see it.
I hope you put Hartlieb in his place and show him for what he really is.
It feels good to laugh as hard as I did when I read the responses to this article. Thanks.
I have followed this drama since the signing of stern.I bought shares before stern (2004) whenever it was $2.00 and rid some on stop loss at 7 and watched the downfall, listened to every
siriusbuzz show and called in.I did a show once on howard 101 and have true love for service and its foundation. This documentary is truley needed.
Y’all don’t have to wait. Watch the following movies:
Other’s People Money with Danny DeVito
Wall Street with Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen
Read the following books:
Confessions of a Wall Street Analyst by Dan Reingold
Confessions of a Street Addict by James J. Cramer
You won’t regret it. They are actually very, very entertaining.
SO, what? Sorry, I couldn’t resist, but you probably get a lot of that anyway.
Here’s another thriller you will all enjoy coutesy of Relmor:
http://www.deepcapture.com/the.....-mitchell/
The story of financial intrigue and hijinks that took down Overstock.com. You will recognize many of the villains because they are the same ones that hound Sirius XM today. Grab some popcorn, get your favorite beverage, and be ready to invest some time as you read both parts of this hautingly familiar story.
That’s a hunk of FICTION created by the loopy CEO of Overstock.com, Patrick Byrne.

Thanks for the link. Cool, another secret passageway under the castle…
I think Friggin should be allowed to give one good rant in the movie.Maybe play it over the credits at the end of the movie.
vaporgold
Great news a movie about how Dupid I was. I can not believe the # of shares outstanding, they will need 100,000,000 subscribers!! it seems!! maybe then the stock will trade for a dollar! I’m still long!! I told you i was Dupid!!
Brandon..
If this documentary does happen, In all seriousness you should try to contact Mr. Patrick Byrne the CEO of Overstock.com and give him five minutes for his opinion on naked short selling if he would consider giving his time.
vaporgold
Vaporgold, sorry, I didn’t read your post. You’re right, Byrne should be involved in this film project as well.
A couple days late, but thanks for the update, Brandon. Sounds like Moviemakr and the former Seeking Alpha/current Sirius Buzz clan will have some first-hand contributions to make in this must-see expose. Mel’s input will be interesting – if he agrees to participate. Good luck, and can’t wait to see the product.
Can you divulge the network that will air this effort?
Also, the bolded “Long Siri” position is noted. Not formated like this previously.
For the movie to be factual they MUST name names. Jacoby, Wienkes, FCC Martin, Goldman Saks, Jim Cramer and the rest of the manipulating scumbags. If the truth is not explained in this movie it is useless.
Brandon, You should get a couple of guys like relmor or cos1000 to be in this production. They can give their take from all the research they have done. They would be representing the view of people like us,the frustrated investors who have put their hard earned money in this company. They also can show that just because you know something is a great product and you believe in it doesn’t mean it will pan out. I think it would make this story more compelling by adding an element of the emotional side of what the average investor has gone thru. Most shareholders are subscribers.
Neal, great idea! However, I believe it was Relmor and the SA gang that were first approached about a shochumentary by Sandra Mohr (aka Moviemakr) over at Seeking Alpha in mid-February or so. They will definitely provide an educated investor’s perspective that will be quite revealing.
THIS WILL BE ONE FOR MY CHILDREN MAKE IT “REAL” CAUSE FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS 43 CENTS
SIRIUS COMMERCIAL= ALL THE GREAT ARTISTS LIKE CARLIN,EDDIE MURPHI,RICHARD PRYER,CHRIS ROCK,HOWARD STERN,BIGGY,TUPAC ECT ECT
SHOW SMALL CLIPS OF THEM DOING THIER ACT WITH NO VOLUME.
THEN SHOW THIS: HOW WOULD LIFE BE CENSORED!!
THEN: SIRIUS XM RADIO
THEN: BEST RADIO PERIOD
I PATENED IT SO DONT GET NO IDEAS
I’m ready to play the part of the smart-mouth poster to a web site devoted to Sirius who has no life and has lost all his money betting on Sirius.
it’s real sad when u see what this market can do to a man and how far u can go when u lose everythin…Brandon is a loser and so is the rest of us!!!
SLUMSTOCK MELLIONAIRE – starring… Fleece Witherspoon – Danny DeTivo – Anne Tenna – Morgan FreeFMan – Lindsey Loansham – and special posthumous appearance by Vincent Pricehike
The inspirational story of a poor, downtrodden satellite radio investor who’s life is fraught with abuse, torture, betrayal, and unimaginable anxiety. No, not at the hands of underworld thugs or corrupt police – but by satellite radio management who will do whatever it takes to keep this stockholder from ever getting a return on his investment. The movie incorporates a series of flashbacks that depict a life of government corruption, financial irresponsibility, and the systematic destruction of a promising technology. This film is not for the faint of heart or the squeamish! Enter at you own risk.
Note : at intermission ushers will ask that you kindly donate to a very worthwhile charity, the “Frigginregan fund”; all proceeds will go to research and treatment of burned out, anxiety riddled, exasperated satellite radio stockholders on the verge of total meltdown. Please find it in your heart to contribute to this cause, named for a true pioneer in the art of “ranting.”
steve o-bravo-take a bow
vincent pricehike classic
I didnt stop laughing the entire post. This should be framed somewhere!!!!!!
Don’t forget to include how Jesse Jackson tried to get a piece of the pie and how politicians like Senator John Kerry tried to scuttle the merger. I believe it was Kerry who told the FCC not to rush their decision which resulted in an unheard of 18 months approval process.
Brandon, I don’t personally know you; only through the message board; however, I wish you well on this venture—may it be beneficial to everyone concerned—–the public, the company of Siri and XM and its shareholders, future investors and to you.
As you are aware—this is only one story.
There are many more that should be focused upon over time—-e.g. how was it possible that Zenith Corporation could be taken control of by a South Korean group—taken immediately into bankruptcy court and reorganized as a Korean company that today controls the American patents of Zenith. That was almost 10 years ago during the Clinton Administration.
Another one is the reorganization of Silicon Graphics, an innovative company of California.
Many stockholders gave months of time on that case when it went to New York bankruptcy court. They worked without pay networking and writing letters, making phone calls, filing documents with the court to no avail. Ultimately, they received no remuneration for their investments or stock in the new reorganized company under voluntary Chapter 11.
With Siri/XM we are all hoping that things will be different; that the investors and long time shareholders of Siri/XM will share in the profit from the joint undertaking and eventually reap the rewards of a aucessful innovative company.
Thanks for keeping this board going——–a very valuable resource as is Tyler’s board on Sirius.
