SiriusXM announced today that Nowcom will provide seamless integration of the SiriusXM Pre-Owned Program into its DealerCenter dealer management products. DealerCenter is Nowcom’s all-in-one DMS software that helps car dealers manage their customers and leads, sales, inventory, financing, websites and online marketing.
There are about 4,500 dealerships across the country that utilize DealerCenter. By integrating with this system, car buyers can easily be enrolled in the SiriusXM Pre-Owned Program. This will provide buyers of pre-owned cars that are equipped with satellite radio to get a three month promotional subscription. The program will also facilitate temporary activation so consumers can experience satellite radio while on a test drive.
“DealerCenter’s integration of the SiriusXM Pre-Owned Program offers dealers another way to easily give their customers more with their vehicle purchase and join more than 12,000 dealers already participating in the program,” said Joe Verbrugge, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Auto Remarketing Division, SiriusXM. “Once enrolled, dealers can demonstrate SiriusXM’s unparalleled entertainment offerings and give customers the added value they look for when buying a pre-owned vehicle.”
SiriusXM is looking to the pre-owned segment more and more in an effort to capitalize on what is potentially a robust market. The challenges have been identifying satellite radio equipped vehicles so that consumers can not only test drive a car, but test drive SiriusXM after buying it. Over the next few years the percentage of cars on the road with satellite radio will increase dramatically. As new car sales peak, the used car market will gain importance to the company. Stay Tuned!
