Sirius XM’s Jason Ellis Gets Morning Drive Slot
Jason Ellis, a popular personality on Sirius XM’s Faction channel is getting some additional exposure in morning drive with scheduled shows on Sirius XM Stars Too. This puts the shock jock head to head with Opie and Anthony as well as Howard Stern. Ellis, who’s original claim to fame was skateboarding, became one of the most popular on air personalities on Faction, a channel dedicated to action sports and their particular flavor of music.
This is not the first time Sirius XM has given additional exposure to some of their talent. Opie and Anthony as well as Ron and Fez have also carried temporary slots on Sirius XM Stars Too. The concept is designed to give exposure to those who are not receiving the “Best of Sirius” or “Best of XM” packages.
Jason Ellis has been doing the replay morning drive show off and on for a few weeks with a live show on Friday mornings. The length of time he will be featured is unknown but, he has been among one of the names bandied about as a possible fill for the vacancy left by Bubba The Love Sponge on Howard 101’s afternoon drive show. Currently that slot is occupied by a podcast from Adam Corolla.
Position – Long Sirius XM Satellite Radio
Ellis has been on Stars Too for quite some time, this is not new. It should also be noted that the show is not live, except on Friday mornings.
He’s been there 6-10am for at least 4 months already. Its great to catch what ui missed from the afternoon show the day before. Red dragons !!!!!
Must be a slow news day over at Sirius Buzz.
Is there something we missed covering today? Feel free to shoot us an idea via the contact page or the forums, we could always use a good tip.
Jason Ellis can be funny. However, Covino and Rich on Stars Too is a 100x better. Move Covino and Rich to afternoons or morning. Btw, why can’t Sirius sign Adam Corolla to a live show or Kid Chris? Besides Howard and Covino and Rich, most of the talk shows are boring as hell on Sirius.
The Jason Ellis Show is hysterical, its his experiences before radio, those leading up to radio and those during radio that make him that way, Stern, C & R bore me to death, the topic of conversation on the most recent Stern is Blah, Blah, Blah about the most recent conversation “x” had in “x” bar or “eric the midget” blah, blah, blah, in his day he was the shit, but lets face it, everyone gets old. Covino and Rich, although tolerable are just plain bland.
Ellis is the best. all other shows are fake. the people are acting not being themselves. wackity wack wack weeelll good morning fuktards. so lame listen to ellis and open your mind to the awesomeness of the future.
I’ve been listening to Ellis for years. Always fresh and hilarious. I’ve heard much about Cavino and Rich so I gave em a try recently. Boring. Not funny and hard to listen to. Always talking over their callers. Seems like they enjoy hearing themselves talk more than getting interesting stories. Ellis can turn a boring caller into a half hour laugh-athon.
Now that hes on Stars I get a pick me up on the way to work and on the way home.
