Sirius & XM Announce AC/DC Channels
Sirius XM Radio today announced a crossover programming venture in the form of AC/DC! For those about to rock, you’ll be able to hear all your favorite AC/DC tunes 24/7 starting October 15th on a dedicated AC/DC channel! Sirius subscribers can tune to channel 29 and XM subscribers can tune to channel 53.
“The channel will celebrate AC/DC’s iconic career and the upcoming release of Black Ice, the band’s first studio album in eight years. You’ll hear AC/DC‘s music, plus band members Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd talking about their incredible career. Listeners will also have the chance to vote for their favorite AC/DC song — the votes will be tallied and played back during the “Ultimate AC/DC Countdown.” ”
“AC/DC’s Black Ice is the band’s first studio album in eight years and will be in stores on October 20. Black Ice features 15 new tracks from Angus and Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd. “Rock N Roll Train,” the first single, debuted on August 28 and the video will be out later this month. The band is set to kick off their first world tour since 2001 in October.”
I love AC/DC so this will be great. But what is with the separate channel things. Let’s start getting these channels in line with each other and keep moving towards unity.

I have XM and Sirius, and now I lose 2 distinct punk channels for one lame band from 40 years ago. Does anyone really want to hear that awful voice from now until mid-January.
