You are right. I almost did not include those channels in my letter for exactly this reason, however listening to Latin music doesnt necessarily make you Hispanic either, now does it? Listening to country does not make you a white southerner either. But the fact stands, that a large majority of the artists on Jazz are African American, most of the specials on those channels are directed towards and by African Americans, and much of the audience is African Americans. This is why I included it.

All the FCC has to do now is tell all those folks trying to weasel in on the action that diverse content is not an issue and since it is a publicly traded company they are free to purchase as much of it as they want.

If this gets the public recognition it deserves, it should go a long way toward helping settle this thing once and for all. What valid reason could they possibly still have for not approving the merger?
