Today a letter signed by 72 members of the house, about 16.5% of the membership, came out against the merger. It has been made apparent that at least some of the members have had contributions from the National Association of Broadcasters as the very first signer of the letter, James Sensenbrenner Jr, has received $24,000 in NAB contributions over the course of his career. We plan on looking deeper into this issue.
Interestingly, the letter dated on June 18th was in the hands of the NAB and on their website the same day (they must know someone).
