NABToday the NAB filed a 30-page response to comments on the proposed merger of XM and Sirius.

The NAB’s response cites a myriad of reasons why this “merger-monopoly” should not be approved including points such as higher costs to consumers, harming local listeners, and how content providers and especially talent would be made worse off.

I can’t figure out for the life of me, why the NAB continues to make such feeble points in their comments to the FCC. Could it possibly be that there is no real solid argument as to why this merger should not be allowed?

I am obviously a big satellite radio fan, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that I couldn’t agree with the NAB… its just that they are yet to give me a good reason to.
