The auto sales figures for June are in, and as we do each month, we provide the sales figures and the relationship to Sirius or XM. Readers should bear in mind that these are auto sales and not installations of satellite radio. This data can be helpful in determining the amount of subscribers the respective companies will report. some OEM's have exclusive deals with either Sirius or XM while others offer installations of both. The landscape has potential to change as the 2008 model year vehicles begin manufacture. Toyota and Nissan have factory install deals with XM and Port/Dealer install deals with Sirius. As factory installs ramp up with these manufacturers, there is potential that XM will get more than 50% of the installs. Only time will tell. For those that follow Sirius, it is anticipated that their partners will carry a 34% installation rate.
