Gary Parsons Steps Down From Sirius XM
In a stunning announcement today, Sirius XM Chairman Gary Parson has stepped down. Gary Parsons, who co-founded XM Satellite Radio, announced his resignation after the market close and shortly after one of the better quarters that satellite radio has seen in recent times was announced. Eddy Hardenstein, a Sirius XM director who is also the publisher and CEO of the Los Angeles Times, will become the company’s non-executive chairman.
Parsons stated, “it’s the right time to step aside…the challenging economic environment, we have begun to generate positive cash flow and have substantially improved our financial condition.”
Gary Parsons contribution to satellite radio can not be denied.

When are you bringing back the radio show?
Too much to ask, If SiriusXM elected to bail-out music choice. Then Sirius-XM are looking at something better. 30 or 40 million additional listeners on cable tv service, then a lack of selling sat-rad. However, it was time for chairmen Gary Parson to go.
This was a forgone conclusion. Why all the hub-bub? Slow news day I guess.
I mean honestly. Picture that face with the Van Gogh facial hair nestled up to Mel for the past couple years. I’m sure Mel would blast this guy to his buds every chance he could. Limp handshake Gary and No handshake Mel. Do you really have another question Gary? asks Mel. Gary says let’s spend some money Mel. Mel says takes the hand sanitizer out of the bathrooms and Gary can home office. If only Mel would have a lifechanging experience and leave with him. Then maybe we could hire someone younger and much more innovative and talented. Memo to Rosie. Please sit on Mels _________. Maybe he could then see the light???????
