Fox Business Dropped From Sirius XM Radio
The channel lineup is still receiving some tweaking and this time XM subscribers lost the Fox Business Channel. The Fox Business channel is somewhat newer, and not as well established as its brethren CNBC and Bloomberg.
This is not the first time Fox has made the news with regard to satellite radio. For a period of time, the Fox News channel was dropped from Sirius as negotiations between Sirius and Fox did not come to common ground. During that period, XM touted the fact that they had Fox News and in addition added other Fox programming to their line-up. Ultimately, Mel Karmazin negotiated a deal with Fox that was not only less expensive for Sirius, but for XM as well.
Karmazin, as part of his agreement with Fox, did not carry the other Fox channels. Thus, it is no surprise that the merged company would trim programming such as this. With CNBC and Bloomberg having larger audiences, the move seems to make business sense. The move was effective December 27th, and has not had the same level of “uproar” from subscribers as the merged channel line-up did.

Please put Fox Business News back on. I enjoy it very much and rarely listen to Bloomberg and never to CNBc. I have 3 radios and subscriptions.
Fox Business is by far superior to Bloomberg and CNBC doesn’t even register on the quality scale. It’s absence diminishes your service.

Not carrying Fox Business News is a mistake. I have many, many clients and have had many of them comment on business information they have seen or heard on Fox Business News. Not once have I ever heard any of them quote or refer to anything they’ve heard or seen on Bloomberg or CNBC. I’ve also heard many of my clients and aquantances wondering why Fox Business News is not carried on XM/Sirrius. Fox Business News is growing and growing fast, don’t be late to the party!
Please give us balance and put Fox Business back onto XM.

if there was no “uproar” this time Sirius, it’s because you backdoored this and we did not KNOW until we turned on FBN and discovered it is gone. THIS IS THE ONLY STATION LISTENED TO IN THE VEHICLE WE HAVE SIRIUS FOR. So guess what. buh bye Sirius.
I listen to FOX business more than any other XM channel. I never listen to CNBC or Bloomberg. I will rethink my 2 XM subscriptions if it does not return.
The quality of all FOX programming and factual information is far superior to CNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg…if it’s not put back on the air, I, and others will cancel their membership.
If Fox is taken off the air our subscription will not be renewed. We are avid Fox listeners who appreciate American and Christian values. It is refreshing to listen to a station that shares all of the news of the day in addition to news subjects that other stations shy away from.
i would like to know why fox news has been dropped from sirius radio. i enjoy hearing fox b/c of their motto of we report and you decide.i hope that sirius -xm will decide to reinstate fox back on the air as it is one of the most sought out and most un-biasis new station today.
