    Sirius Weekly Thread Week 03-08-2010

    Good Morning

Signs of economy recovering here in Michigan, at least in my small part
of the state. Spoke with a broker/Realtor last week. He told me sales
have been the best in 3 years. I went by the dealership (Ford) and was unable to say hi to my friend/salesman because he was so busy. Lots
of customers milling around. Contractors seem to be working more, at
least it seems from their checks.
And the biggest sign of recovery. The little kid who always knocks on
my door to shovel, even the smallest dusting, completely let the last
snowfall go. Maybe I'm paying him too much.

And I know a post would not be complete without a weather report.
8, yes 8 straight days of sunshine!!! Temps in the high 40's, snow is
rapidly melting and the birds are singing. Even the annoying woodpecker
    outside my window sounds happy.
    Spring is here!

Hope you have a good week.

    Julie

Spring is here! I have to agree to Julie. We have run almost every weekend of this year. We actually didn't run one simply to give the guys a break.

SIRI is seeing a little red today. If BM is correct, and SIRI calls one of its bond issues, it'll be big news.

    Good morning all,
Not much action here on the forum so far this week, as we watch the historical post-report decline. I'm thinking about buying in again soon.
Gee, I wonder if we should start a contest to see how low we can go?

Does anyone here believe we can see the .70's again in the next month?

I read some "news item" that reported resistance at 82. Today SIRI fought back a little. We know a delisting notice is forthcoming. That may very well help shread that resistance. On an upbeat note, two possible positives may emerge - the calling of 2013 notes, and re-signing Howard (debateable, I concede). Outside of that, the only thing to look forward to is the end of May for the 2Q2010 CC.

Seriusly Long: I'm new here - help me. How do we 'know' a delisting notice is forthcoming since, as I understand it, an extension was granted on March 3?

Welcome to Sirius Buzz. It is nice to have some fresh opinion.

I will not claim to be an expert, but it is my understanding that SIRI had until 3/15 to comply with the requirement of 10 days over a selling price of >$1.00, and that did not happen. It is my understanding that a delisting notice will be sent to SIRI, and SIRI has to let that be known to the public. It is speculated that SIRI will file for an extension, and this process takes a while. It is also speculated that SIRI may seek an exemption from this rule due to to its large market cap. Time will tell!!! Patience is a virtue.

I am unaware of any granted extension on 3/3. If you have a link, please do share.

Options Expiration Friday not 'til March 19 . . here is the calendar link:

    http://www.cboe.com/AboutCBOE/xcal2010.pdf

I wouldn't expect the SP to move much above the current range until Monday 3/22 . . in the interim, if you are so inclined, good money to be made on the daily 4 cent swings
