    David Bank full of Bunk

David Bank of RBC and his fancy $1.00 price target and bloated SAC appearing on CNAB this morning with Goldman Sachs alum and chief apologist Erin Burnett:

    watch:

    http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232/?vid...6844869&play=1

NO Tyler Savery . . VIACOM IS NOT A COMP!

6-7% annual EBITDA growth does not comp to Sirius XM's 5 Year compounded annual EBITDA growth rate of 24% . . not today, not tomorrow, not yesterday, not ever!

David Bank is full of Bunk and Erin Burnett obviously admires his big SAC.

btw, is it just me or does this guy remind you a little of Don Knotts? David Bank could be the Shakiest Analyst in the West

btw (yeah, I know, responding to my own post; where's muscle13 when I need him), CNAB obviously would have had the full panoply of Sirius XM analysts available to them . . . as follows:

BGB Securities – Murray Arenson $1.35
Janco Partners – Martin Pyykkonen $1.40
    Barrington – James Goss $1.50
    KOAT - Relmor Demitrius $3.25
    Lazard – Barton Crockett $1.35
Miller Tabak – David Joyce $1.25
    SBCM - Tyler Savery $1.10
Wunderlich Sec – Matt Harrigan $1.50
    Standard & Poors – Tuna Amobi $1.50
    Maxim – John Tinker $1.40
    RBC – David Bank $1.00

Yet who do they choose to interview? Yup, David Bunk of RBC. Interesting huh?

And who do they choose to represent the counterpoint to "Sirius XM is a bad stock?" Ooops, guess Erin's producer forgot to book that spot. Oh well.

And of course this spot comes on the heels of last week's interview of Greg Maffei by David Fibber in which Fibber famously pointed out Sirius XM lacking the required OEM target of "13mm units" required to be profitable . . eh, few million here, few million there . . Fibber can't be bothered with small details . . . Fibber has got ad space he needs to sell.

    Feh!

As Tyler Savery once warned me during one of his Pandora-Rages, "Think deeper man."

Did you notice that CNBC gave him a little plug as the WSJ best media analyst in 2009? Can't wait to see what he says six months from now!

Yes Schultzy, and do you know who won the award for 2008?

That's right, Mark Wienkes of Goldman Sachs. I needed to throw that in just in case Wienkes is killing time at his cubicle, waiting for Lloyd Blankfein to leave the office, and decides to google himself. I want him to know that even though he has not resumed coverage of Sirius XM, he is very much missed and often thought of by his shareholder friends here at Sirius Buzz.

Who could forget how perfectly he nailed that $0.25 price target

His analysis was so impeccable it was almost as if he knew what short trades were being made in advance.

You almost wonder if the Mob has threatened his life because they have a big short position. It's almost like being told to take a fall in the 3rd round. No other explanation for the negativity in the face of such obvious positive momentum and growth.
