The Old foagies that live near me say the Nor'Easters are much worse than the hurricanes, they last longer, have higher storm surges and in my 10 years owning this, I agree. Sandy? Nothing to me, my one neighbor lost a bit of lawn near his beach exposure. This Nor'Easter? With the "moon tide" we had plus the storm surge or a few more feet and duration of it all, more water came over the sea wall and into the street, destoying it as you saw, and many of my neighbors had their decks, fences, lawns, siding, etc washed away. Old timers told me the worst flooding in Scituate since the blizzard of 78. Also NOT a hurricane, a Nor'Easter. I am in a good spot and pretty safe. Thankfully

With Ya, and Apple and MJNA. Another good day. I was cleaning up the yard at the beach house, no power, no wi-fi and NO 3G (crappy location cell tower wise) It was AWFUL not knowing what was going on, thankfully when I could log on on the way home at 11AM I was up. Scary crap, esp when you own a green stock or two!

Glad to hear it sounds like everyone is alright. I woke up here in MI to find all of our snow gone, thought there was supposed to be some kind of storm this weekend...!

As for siri...what are the thoughts on the institiutional holdings dropping from 65% to 30%? I saw this happen once before and then a few days later it was back to 65%

It appears the drop was with UBS again, the last time (months ago) it was with the UBS holdings

    UBS AG 09/30/2012 46,078,974 (257,926,180) (84.84) 143,766

The drop is a result of the conversion of the preferred to common by Liberty. There are now 6.6 bn common with the conversion, approximately. The 50 % ish Liberty stake is not considered institutional and is not really part of the float because they are holding to stay above 50%. So, the Institutional stake is 35 % of 6.6 Bn or approx. 2.31 bn of the actual float of 3.3 Bn or, about 70% of the actual float.

    I do love this link...

Still pumping that cash in. Fine with it dragging like this so long as it's being bought and not sold.

Small world. I grew up in Marshfield and my family kept their boat in Scituate. My family still has a house directly on the water down there. Glad to hear everyone made out OK.

LMCA struggling with uptrend. Wants to test lower BB at 108.92 but not enough sell side volume to take it down. Looks to be consolidating in uptrend channel....

    LMCA.jpg

AAPL looks to test upper trend line of downtrend channel. With the MACD cross to positive.....could break up and out of channel.....
