    Bit Rate for SIrius Stream?

Does anyone know the bitrate that Sirius XM uses when sending the stream. I compare the quality to FM and I can tell that they do compress the stream. For music, analog FM sounds better than SAT Radio. I'm thing its either 128 or 192.

Online is 128 if you pay 2.99 extra a month for the upgraded bit rate. I don't know what it is normally for online or over the air listening. I do know that some channels have a higher bit rate than others. The traffic/weather channels have the lowest and the music channels have a higher bit rate than the talk channels. I have noticed that Howard Stern has a higher bit rate than some of the other talk channels though....

From what I've been told is that it normally streams at 32 kbps. So the upgrade provides for a 4x higher quality sound.

I can assume 32K is on the internet. If 32K was over the bit rate for the SAT signal, it would sound horrible. I'm not even sure you can do stereo at 32K.
