Worldwide, there have now been 308,446 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 13,068 deaths. In the United States, there are 26,867 confirmed cases and 348 deaths. New York has the most cases, 11,677. Washington has 1,793, California has 1,505, New Jersey has 1,327, Michigan has 807, Florida has 763, Louisiana has 763, Illinois has 753, Massachusetts has 525 and Colorado has 475. There are even eight confirmed cases in Hawai'i and 12 in Alaska. But of course King Donald the First said last month the virus was "contained." And he's now turning every every press conference into a campaign rally. He praises himself, he attacks Democrats, he attacks the news media and he spreads lies and false accusations. The 2020 Summer Olympics is scheduled for July 24 to August 9 in Tokyo but almost all sporting events throughout the world have been canceled or postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Many of the Olympics qualifying events have been canceled and there are growing calls for the Olympic games to be canceled as well. Perhaps by the time of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, life will be back to normal.

Gatherings of "two or more people" are now banned in Germany. Das ist wirklich verrückt! And in New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has warned that up to 80% of the state's population could get the coronavirus and the "stay at home" order could last for as long as nine months.

The International Olympic Committee is expected to make a decision by mid-April as to whether to postpone the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The games are scheduled to begin July 24. The IOC says the games will definitely not be canceled – but If a large number of nations follow the lead of Canada and Australia and refuse to participate because of coronavirus fears, the IOC may be forced to cancel the games.

There have now been 42,443 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 517 deaths in the United States. Scientists and medical experts are advising everyone to stay home and urging non-essential businesses to close – but, gosh darnit, that hurts the economy and jeopardizes King Donald's re-election chances. Everything is about him, you know.

The 1964 Olympics in Tokyo were held in October. The 1968 Olympics in Mexico City were also held in October. The Olympics are now usually held in July or August when there are no baseball/football/soccer/hockey/basketball playoff games and television networks can devote more time to Olympics coverage. However, this year's games will be postponed, possibly until 2021, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Details have not yet been announced. And please don't make fun of this man's name. I'm asking nicely.
