On January 22, King Donald said of the coronavirus, "It’s one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It’s going to be just fine." On July 1, he said he can't see himself ever wearing a face mask and he predicted the virus will "sort of just disappear." On July 4, he declared – with zero evidence – that 99% of coronavirus cases "are totally harmless." Why is Donald Trump continuing to play doctor? He needs to just shut up. In the United States, there have been 2,967,494 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 132,489 deaths.

In the United States, there have been 3,070,848 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 133,595 deaths – and our irresponsible, incompetent, isolationist President is withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization. If Joe Biden is elected President in November, the withdrawal can – and will – be reversed.

In the United States, 3,158,932 people have gotten the COVID-19 virus and 134,862 have died. With Doctor Donald Trump in charge, the death toll will get worse – much worse.

Analysis: Trump scorns science – and wants his scientists to do the same
    CNN, Jul 9 2020 12:08 AM ET

President Donald Trump's fresh efforts to undermine medical and scientific experts and his failure to ask the country to make the sacrifices that could quell the coronavirus are consigning America to a constantly worsening pandemic with no clear route back to health.Trump recommitted to that strategy – which defies the example of nations that have at least temporarily beaten back the virus – by blasting the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on reopening schools on Wednesday as "very tough and expensive." Within hours, Vice President Mike Pence, the head of the White House coronavirus task force, said the CDC would issue new guidelines.

The responses of the Vice President and other top officials at a relentlessly upbeat White House task force briefing, which glaringly clashed with the reality of a new daily record of 60,000 new cases of the virus, underscored how the government is geared more toward appeasing an unbending President than giving an honest accounting of the crisis and taking steps that could defeat it.

The global COVID-19 death toll is now 559,656. That includes 136,237 in the United States, 69,406 in Brazil, 44,650 in the UK, 34,938 in Italy and 33,526 in Mexico. An ABC News/Ipsos poll out today shows 67% of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The 33% who approve are probably Republicans, who remain blindly loyal no matter what Trump says or does.

So Trump looks "out of touch with reality"? In Trumpworld, the land of delusions, there is no such thing as reality. And Trump believes he saved "millions of lives"? Wow. The United States death toll from COVID-19 is now 138,247. The District of Columbia, which has a population of 706,000 and is home to the White House and the Capitol building, accounts for 568 of those deaths.

America shuts down again – choosing reality over Trump's false claims
    CNN, Jul 14 2020 12:39 AM ET

While President Donald Trump obsesses about his reelection hopes in his White House bubble, state and local leaders are frantically reversing state reopenings that he demanded, which turned America into the world's biggest coronavirus hotspot. As emergency rooms filled and the virus quickened its relentless march across southern and Western states, Trump stuck to the fiction that the worst is already over: "We had to close it down; now we're opening it up," the President said of the economy at the White House, patting himself on the back for saving "millions of lives." As new cases of the disease reach 60,000 a day nationwide, many leaders, including those who supported Trump's aggressive approach, now have little choice but to prioritize science over politics, leaving the President looking out of touch with reality.

Doctor Donald Trump hath spoken. Testing for COVID-19 "creates" cases. False. "We have one of the lowest mortality rates anywhere." False. "Biden and Obama stopped their testing" for H1N1. False. Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions. The COVID-19 death toll in the United States is now 138,909, 24% of the global total.

It should surprise no one that Donald Trump thinks he knows more about the coronavirus than Dr. Anthony Fauci and all the world's medical experts. After all, this is the same vain, pompous, narcissistic, egotistical blowhard who made all these claims: "I know more about ISIS than the generals do" (November 2015); "I know more about courts than any human being on earth" (November 2015); "Nobody knows more about trade than me" (March 2016); "I know more about renewable energy than any human being on earth" (April 2016); "I think nobody knows more about taxes than I do, maybe in the history of the world" (May 2016); "I understand money better than anybody" (June 2016); "Nobody in the history of this country has ever known so much about infrastructure as Donald Trump" (July 2016); "Nobody knows more about construction than I do" (May 2018); "Nobody knows more about technology than me." Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions. The COVID-19 death toll in the United States is now 140,140.
