The COVID-19 death toll is now 33,552 worldwide and 2,384 in the United States. For two months, King Donald the First downplayed the coronavirus threat. "We have it totally under control," he said on January 22. "It's one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It's going to be just fine." Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions.

There have now been 721,330 confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide and 33,956 deaths. In Trumpworld, the topsy-turvy land of delusions where bad is good, wrong is right, down is up, the coronavirus pandemic is not a threat and King Donald's brainwashed, blindly loyal supporters believe every lie he tells them, things are not going well for Anthony Fauci. In Trumpworld, that's what happens when you tell the truth instead of lies.

As King Donald the First says, some of these white supremacists are "very fine people." Probably not this one, though.

Republican governor slaps down Trump testing claim: 'That's just not true'
    HuffPost, Mar 31 2020 11:43 AM

Maryland Republican Governor Larry Hogan today rejected President Donald Trump's claim that there is no longer a shortage of coronavirus tests, calling the assertion "just not true" and warning that no state has enough tests. Hogan, who issued a statewide stay-at-home order yesterday, told NPR's Morning Edition that the country's governors have made some progress in working with the federal government to obtain additional medical supplies but more is needed.

Letter from Sally Holloway of San Diego in today's Los Angeles Times:

"About 200,000 Americans have tested positive for COVID-19, thousands have died and worldwide the numbers are even more staggering. Brave healthcare workers and first responders are risking their own lives to treat the sick and dying, all while worrying about the shortage of personal protective gear and equipment needed to treat these patients. Soon it may become nevessary for doctors to decide who lives and who dies. Meanwhile, the President bragged about the TV ratings for his daily coronavirus updates. On the very, very long list of despicable things Trump has said and done, this one moves to the top. The man has not a shred of decency."
