Like father, like son. Both Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have been spreading lies and misinformation about the COVID-19 virus. Facebook and now Twitter are taking action. Good for them!

Twitter temporarily restricted Trump campaign's ability to tweet over false COVID-19 claims

The coronavirus death toll is now 724,081 worldwide, 164,094 in the United States, 99,702 in Brazil, 51,311 in Mexico, 46,511 in the UK, 42,578 in India and 35,190 in Italy. In Georgia, 4,117 have died – and that number is likely to get much higher. A few days ago, a seven-year-old Georgia boy became the youngest to die of COVID-19 in the state. He had attended a church service and come in contact with two elderly people who also wound up dying of COVID-19. And now we have this news:

260 students and 8 teachers quarantined in Georgia school district after first week of school

The global COVID-19 death toll is now 727,540. The United States accounts for 164,765 (22.65%) of those deaths. The Republican party now exists in name only. It has become the Donald Trump party. Trump is the cult leader and his blindly loyal followers worship him, adore him, support him, defend him and believe every lie he tells them. If Trump, à la Jim Jones, asked them to drink cyanide-laced grave Flavor Aid, they would gladly and willingly do so. If Trump refuses to wear a mask, well, by God, his cult members will also refuse to wear a mask – and boo a reporter who dares to question their cult leader.

A reporter was booed by attendees at President Trump's news conference at his Bedminster golf club when Trump was asked why people in the room were not following New Jersey's coronavirus guidelines.

The COVID-19 death toll in the United States is now 180,143 – and Donald Trump continues to play doctor and continues to spread conspiracy theories.

Trump says without proof that FDA 'deep state' slowing COVID trials
    Reuters, Aug 22 2020 9:42 AM

President Donald Trump today, without providing evidence, accused members of the "deep state" at the Food & Drug Administration, of working to slow testing of COVID-19 vaccines until after the November presidential election. In a Twitter post, Trump said the deep state "or whoever" at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to enroll people in clinical trials to test vaccines and therapies for the novel coronavirus. The comment came after Reuters exclusively reported on Thursday that FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn said he would resign if the Trump administration approved a vaccine before it was shown to be safe and effective. "Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed and saving lives!" Trump wrote.
