Does the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of religion mean we have the right to crowd together in a worship service and infect others with COVID-19? I'm thinking "No."

The worldwide death toll from COVID-19 is now 660,850. In the United States, 151,993 have died. And as long as Donald Trump believes he knows more about the coronavirus than all the world's medical experts combined – which will likely be as long as he lives – he will continue to play doctor, to the detriment of our nation.

COVID-19 has now killed 153,000 people in the United States. Donald Trump and the Republicans remain in charge of our nation's response to the pandemic – and that should terrify us all. Witness:

For more than six months, Donald Trump has continued to insist the coronavirus will "go away." In February, he declared, "One day – it’s like a miracle – it will disappear." Yeah, right. Here's a better idea: Let's make sure that on January 20, 2021, Donald Trump disappears.

Trump repeats his promise that the virus will disappear as US death toll reaches 153,000.

Regarding the COVID-19 virus, Doctor Donald Trump declared today, "I think we're doing very well. And I think that we have done as well as any nation." Really? The three countries with the most deaths are the United States with 158,929, Brazil with 94,702 and Mexico with 48,012. The US has 16,215 more deaths than Brazil and Mexico combined. Trump is also continuing to condemn vote-by-mail while touting absentee ballots – and they're the same thing. Welcome to Trumpworld, the topsy-turvy land of delusions where wrong is right, bad is good, down is up and "we're doing very well."

In the United States, there have now been 4,915,826 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 160,215 deaths but our delusional President, who continues to play doctor, insists we have the pandemic "under control" and says the death rate is "way down from where it was." Really? The US death toll was 1,123 on August 1,467 on August 2, 567 on August 3 and so far today is 1,287. Please, Donald. Please. Just. Shut. Up.
