The first question Bolton should be asked if he's put on the stand: If Trump is truly innocent of wrongdoing, then why did he hide evidence, ignore subpoenas, withhold documents, threaten and intimidate witnesses and refuse to allow his aides to testify?

John Bolton's testimony looks increasingly likely but it's not a done deal

Emperor Trump likes to say he surrounds himself with "the very best people." Of course he's lying. Several of those "very best people" have received prison sentences and more of those "very best people" could soon be joining them in prison. I wonder if Parnas, Fruman and Giuliani look good in orange.

It also includes a previously undisclosed May 2019 letter from Giuliani to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Hunter Biden served on the Burisma board. Neither he nor Joe Biden has ever been accused of wrongdoing but Emperor Trump tried to pressure Ukraine's President to find some wrongdoing, which Trump could then use as ammunition in his re-election campaign. In 2016, Russian hackers created thousands of fake social media accounts and spread pro-Trump, anti-Clinton propaganda to help Vladimir Putin's BFF Donald get elected President. Russian hackers want to ensure he's re-elected in 2020 so they're trying to help him by looking for evidence of wrongdoing by the Bidens. Yes sir, Trump is the best President Russian money can buy.

Emperor Trump withheld Congressionally-approved aid and tried to pressure a foreign nation into digging up dirt on a political rival. He put his own interests above America's interests. He jeopardized national security and the integrity of our elections. By approving articles of impeachment for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, the House has done its Constitutional job in seeking to hold Trump accountable for his violations of the Presidential oath of office. Unfortunately, the Senate will not do its job. Senate Republicans, who have sold their souls to Donald Trump, will not hold him accountable. They will ensure he remains above the law, answerable to no one. God help us.

Emperor Trump is fortunate. He was able to assemble a legal team that's every bit as shady, crooked, corrupt, deceitful and dishonest as he is.

Despite having several meetings with Lev Parnas and posing for pictures with him, Emperor Trump claimed he doesn't know who Parnas is. Allow me to refresh your memory, Emperor: He was one of the two Soviet-born men whose help you and Giuliani enlisted as part of your "secret mission" to pressure Ukraine into digging up dirt on the Bidens. You openly sought election interference from a foreign country. You put your personal interests above the interests of our nation. Now do you remember?

"Every day, new incriminating evidence comes forward," said Nancy Pelosi this morning. Ukraine has launched investigations into reports of Russian hacking of Burisma and the illegal surveillance of Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch. Meanwhile, a report from the Government Accountability Office says Trump's withholding of Congressionally-approved military aid is a violation of federal law: The President "is not vested with the power to ignore or amend" laws passed by Congress and can not "substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law." Cover-ups relating to the DNC headquarters break-in doomed Richard Nixon's Presidency. If Senate Republicans refuse to allow witnesses and new evidence at Trump's impeachment trial, they will all be guilty of a cover-up, a huge cover-up. Unfortunately, they've sold their souls to Donald Trump so I have very little hope they will fulfill their Constitutional duty to be fair and impartial in the trial. After all, they have to ensure Trump remains above the law, answerable to no one and accountable to no one.

Our orange-skinned leader is the Emperor of Trumpworld, the topsy-turvy land of delusions where good is bad, down is up and wrong and wright. He lies about everything – and he either knows he's lying or he's so delusional he believes he's truthful. Regardless, he is a lying, cheating, crooked, corrupt, dishonest, amoral, unethical, self-serving buffoon and a total disgrace to the office of the Presidency.

Trump continues to insist he doesn't know Giuliani associate Lev Parnas

Members of Congress have to swear an oath to defend the Constitution. When there is an impeachment trial, they swear an additional oath to "do impartial justice to the Constitution and laws." Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell has already declared he will not be impartial. It's doubtful any Senate Republicans will be impartial. Those two oaths mean nothing to them. They have sold their souls to Donald Trump and likely will unanimously vote for acquittal, thereby placing Trump – and themselves – above the Constitution and above the rule of law. What a sad time for our nation.
