"I demand blind loyalty! How dare these people tell the truth about me! Off with their heads!" "Uh, sir? I really don't think you can issue such an order." "Look, I should be able to, okay? I'm all-powerful and I'm above the law. But, okay, maybe we can just fire them all. They have to be punished. They're Never Trumpers and they're very bad people."

Trump and his aides suggested firing impeachment witnesses
The possibility of moving officials out of the White House could be viewed by some as evidence of retribution for their testimony, advisers warn.

With today's release of the transcripts of closed-door testimony given by Undersecretary of State David Hale and US Embassy adviser David Holmes, the House has now released the transcripts of 15 of the 17 witnesses who have testified before impeachment investigators. Twelve of those 17 are also giving public testimony. Holmes, who was listening in on the July 26 phone call during which Sondland assured Trump that Ukraine was going to "move forward" with an investigation of the Bidens, will give public testimony Thursday. Jennifer Williams and Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, who heard Trump's July 25 call asking Zelensky for a "favor," will give public testimony tomorrow. Six other federal officials, including Sondland (unless he pleads the fifth) will testify this week.

All 17 officials, many of whom have served for several decades under Presidents of both parties, are sworn to tell the truth, under penalty of perjury. They've given damning details of Trump's abuse of power: withholding military aid from a foreign country until they agree to dig up dirt on his political opponent. Donald Trump, who, per the Washington Post, has told more than 13,000 lies since he's been in office, insists he's done nothing wrong. Trump's blindly loyal Republican lackeys can no longer pretend he didn't make the quid-pro-quo offer, so they've changed their tactics. They now acknowledge he did indeed ask a foreign government to interfere in our 2020 election but, hey, ain't nothin' wrong with that – and using the office of the Presidency for personal gain is certainly not an impeachable offense. It's a shame Republicans can't care about the United States of America the way they care about Emperor Trump.

Emperor Trump has been attacking all the witnesses, including State Department officials, who testify in the House impeachment inquiry. He spreads lies and slander and calls them "Never Trumpers." Secretary of State Mike Pompeo could speak out in support of the witnesses but he refuses to. His loyalty is to Emperor Trump and nobody else. Many current and former State Department officials have expressed disgust that Pompeo will not stand up for them. They blame him for a steep drop in morale. Now let's hear from Pompeo's predecessor:

Congressional Republicans care about Trump and their party, nothing else. Their guiding principle is: "See no evil in Trump, hear no evil about Trump, speak no evil about Trump." They can not and will not ever admit Trump has done anything wrong. They've come up with at least 22 different lies to avoid having to acknowledge Trump is guilty of abuse of power. Yes, they lie to protect Trump – and you can be certain Emperor Trump is proud of them for doing so.

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman is the Director for European Affairs for the United States National Security Council. He served with the Army in South Korea, Germany and Iraq. He earned ten badges, medals and awards, including a Purple Heart and two Meritorious Service medals. On October 29, he testified before House impeachment investigators, expressing his alarm that President Trump would ask a foreign government to investigate a political rival. Today, Vindman is giving public testimony. "I don't know who Vindaman is," Trump said, mispronouncing Vindman's name. There have been several witnesses whom Trump claims to not know – and yet he still denounces them as "Never Trumpers." Welcome to Trumpworld.

Vindman seems to be the first official to express alarm about the Trump-Zelensky phone call. "Improper," he said of Trump's demand that a foreign government interfere in our 2020 election. Devin Nunes and the other Republicans continue to use the familiar Trumpian tactics of "divert, distract, distort and disparage." They're shamelessly – and falsely – accusing Vindman of being loyal to Ukraine and they're continuing to demand to know the identity of the whistleblower. What they are not doing is addressing Trump's abuse of power by withholding military aid and pressuring a foreign government to investigate a political rival.

First Michael Cohen, then Roger Stone, then Gordon Sondland and now Kurt Volker. One by one, Republicans are finally starting to realize they shouldn't keep lying to protect Donald Trump.

    Ex-envoy changes past testimony
Kurt Volker, whose prior testimony was cited by Republicans as evidence of no quid pro quo, now says Ukraine aid was linked to Biden probe.

Emperor Trump, with zero evidence, denounces as a "Never Trumper" each witness who testifies in the House impeachment investigation. He knows he can never explain, or even admit to, his abuse of power. Instead, he just attacks everyone who tells the truth about him. Today, Republican Representative Jim Hines, who, same as Trump, attacks the witnesses instead of addressing Trump's abuse of power, asked a question of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman: "Trump called you a Never Trumper. Are you a Never Trumper?" Vindman replied, "I'd call myself never partisan." Good for him!

On November 3, Trump told reporters he would release "evidence" to prove Vindman is a Never Trumper. Yeah, just like he promised to release his taxes and promised to release "evidence" that proves every one of his female accusers is lying. Trump is a "Never Truthful."

This afternoon, Emperor Trump tweeted, "Today is a great day for Republicans." Apparently there are no televisions in Trumpworld, the land of delusions, and Emperor Trump is completely unaware that former envoy Kurt Volker today changed his testimony and confirmed that military aid to Ukraine was indeed put on hold until Ukraine agreed to investigate the Bidens and Burisma. Today is a great day for truth and facts.

Emperor Trump has been calling everyone who testifies a "Never Trumper." He hates it when people tell the truth about him. Funny thing, though: He hasn't (yet) hurled that epithet at Republican Kurt Volker or Republucan Tim Morrison. I wonder why.

The GOP's witnesses aren't helping Trump
If Republicans thought Kurt Volker and Timothy Morrison would bust the Democrats' case for impeachment, they likely were disappointed by what they heard today.
