In dice games, a roll of two 1's is called "snake eyes." If you roll a 2 and a 1, that could still be called "snake eyes."

If you travel to Heidelberg and want free room and board, you can try doing what this raccoon did:

A cute little shih-tzu mix, euthanized. This story makes me sick. Not every death-bed wish needs to be fulfilled – and certainly not this one:.

Sumatran rhinos are classified as "critically endangered." Hundreds have been killed by poachers and no more than 80 Sumatran rhinos are extant. You can learn more, and help save the species by "adopting" a rhino, on the International Rhino Foundation website at

A spokesperson explained, "Predators do interact with tourists and staff." Oh, is that what you call it now?

Two days after a leopard kills a 2-year-old boy, 14 lions escape. I would certainly hate to be this park's public relations director.

Giraffes usually live 20 to 25 years. The two who died instantaneously from a lightning strike were 10 and one. There are storm shelters in their enclosure but the giraffes chose to stay out in the open. No one could have foreseen this:
