Democrat Katie Hill resigned from Congress amid allegations of sexual improprieties. Men, on the other hand, can commit all kinds of sexual improprieties, even rapes and marital affairs, and remain in office – even if it's the Presidency. George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign adviser who lied to the FBI about his contacts with Russia, will run for the vacated Congressional seat. He wants to fight "Democratic corruption." So says the man who lied to the FBI and worked for the most corrupt, crooked, greedy, immoral, unethical con man in American history.

Will Hurd, the only black member of the House, wants Republicans to start reaching out to minorities? Sorry, Will, they will not. The Republican party has become the party of racist, bigoted, immigrant-hating, wealthy white men who care about themselves and their party but not about America's poor and middle class.

I disagree with this headline. Trump's "favorite weapon" is definitely Twitter. Anyway, China's President Xi Jinping will not negotiate a new trade deal with the United States unless Trump rolls back the tariffs imposed in September and reduces the tariffs imposed last year. Trump back down? Ain't gonna happen. 不, 它永远不会发生.

Some states like to be different by holding elections in odd-numbered years. Today in Mississippi, Republican Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves easily won election as Governor.

In Kentucky, Democratic Attorney General Andy Breshear narrowly defeated Republican incumbent Governor Matt Bevin, whom Trump campaigned for and who is refusing to concede. Bevin is complaining of election "irregularities" (without specifying what they are) and considering asking a judge to order a recount.

In Virginia, where Democratic Governor Ralph Northam has two years left in his term and Republicans hold slim majorities in both houses of the General Assembly, all 40 seats in the Senate and all 100 seats in the House of Delegates were up for election. Democrats have regained control of both the Senate and the House. They will control the Virginia Governorship and General Assembly for the first time since 1993.

The outcome of state elections does not necessarily foreshadow how a national election will turn out. Still, huge wins for Democrats in Kentucky and Virginia are signs that "Trumpian Republicanism," as Julian Zelizer calls it, is damaging the Republican party and impelling Democrats to vote in record numbers. How long will Republican Congressmen continue to support and defend Trump? A better question is: Why should they?

Matt Bevin claims there are "multiple reports of voting irregularities" in yesterday's election in Kentucky. He has provided no evidence to support his claim. Bevin is a Republican, same as the President who falsely claimed three million to four million illegal votes were cast in the 2016 Presidential election. Republicans just can't accept losing.

Stone lied to Congressional investigators about his contacts with WikiLeaks and his efforts to get damaging information about Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump is the world's biggest liar – and he has thousands of blindly loyal followers who lie to protect him. How can such a crooked, corrupt, immoral, self-serving liar inspire such blind loyalty? 'Tis a mystery.

In yesterday's Virginia election, the woman who gained fame by giving the finger to Trump as his motorcade passed by has ousted a Republican Supervisor. Democrats are hopeful of taking the White House and regaining control of the Senate in 2020. Then we can all give the finger to Trump.

Trump managed an upset win in 2016 in Pennsylvania, long a Democratic bastion. The 2018 midterm elections, however, revealed the GOP's eroding support among millennials and college-educated voters in suburban areas. This year, the erosion is accelerating. In this week's election in Pennsylvania's Delaware County, Democrats won all five Council seats and will control local government for the first time since the Civil War. Chester County will have a Democrat-led Council for the first time in history. The Republican party is slowly dying.

Forget Kentucky and Virginia, the worst election news for Republicans came out of suburban Pennsylvania
