Get ready to pay more for shoes, clothing, toys, laptops, cellphones, sporting goods and thousands of other products. Emperor Trump just imposed huge tariffs on $112 billion worth of Chinese goods. The new tariffs will cost the average American family of four $1,000 per year and in October Trump will raise the tariffs even higher. And yes, contrary to what Trump says, China is not paying for these tariffs – we are. Trump is like a 10-year-old schoolyard bully who refuses to lose, or abandon, a fight. The tariffs are also hurting American businesses but Trump refuses to acknowledge that. He says if businesses are hurting, it's because of "poor management." No, it's because of our poor President.

It's official: The US and China slap tariffs on thousands of each other's products in major trade war escalation

Hurricane Dorian, now a Category 5 hurricane with winds of up to 185 mph, made landfall on the Abaco Islands and is now slowly moving northwest across the Bahamas. Let's see how our President is responding.

Trump doesn't think he's 'ever even heard of a Category 5' hurricane. Four such storms have hit the US since he took office.

Memo to Donald Trump and America's coal miners: Next year is 2020. When are you going to accept the fact that 1840 is never coming back?

For eight years, Republicans have controlled North Carolina's legislature and have resorted to partisan gerrymandering to ensure Democrats never regain control. A three-judge panel has called for the districts to be redrawn so the state's elections are "free and fair." But.....but.....in a fair election, Republicans might lose. They won't like that at all!

Here in California, the 19th century is over. Jedediah Smith, Manuel Lisa and Andrew Henry will no longer be able to trap beavers in the state and sell the pelts to the Hudson's Bay Company and the North West Company.

Emperor Trump, the most vain, pompous, egotistical, narcissistic buffoon who has ever lived, hires blindly loyal lapdogs who know how to stroke his galaxy-sized ego. Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway are two examples. Here is a third:

Trump's campaign manager: Trump family building 'dynasty' for decades to come
Brad Parscale predicted Saturday that the President and his family will become "a dynasty that will last for decades," transforming the Republican Party while hewing to conservative values.

Leave it to Donald Trump to come up with a brilliant economic plan that neither Adam Smith, Alfred Marshall, Warren Buffett, Milton Friedman nor John Maynard Keynes ever thought of.

I made a list of all the famous black people who still support Donald Trump:

    1. Ben Carson
    2. Mike Tyson
    3. Dennis Rodman

That's all I could come up with.

In the real world, the United States is plagued with crime, gun violence, racism, homelessness, child poverty, income inequality and outrageously high drug and healthcare costs. In Trumpworld, however, the US is Paradise, solely because of the miracle-working power of Emperor Trump: Drug prices are falling and there is no racism, no gun violence problem, no global warming and no Americans paying for tariffs. There is also low unemployment – but Emperor Trump neglects to mention there are more jobs because the population continually increases. Employment as a percentage of population is not at a record high. The Associated Press looks at the many lies of Donald Trump, who "routinely says false things and repeats them as if willing them into being." Democrats mostly stick to facts, although some of their statements are inaccurate. Conditions in America are pretty much as Democrats portray them to be, not as delusional Emperor Trump sees them.

On Monday, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed two bills restricting medical exemptions for vaccinations. The anti-vaxxers who apparently want their children to get measles and expose others to measles are not happy.
