My 2014 Chrysler continually displayed the acquiring signal banner, initially it locked onto a signal in a few minutes. Nonethelesss, it took progressively longer for the process to complete. Finally, having a working radio would last up to an hour and longer. Plus it did it every day. Using common computer logic, I tried a hard reset. As many modern cars need a refresh after the negative ground is disconnected, I simply pulled the radio fuse from the block for a short time. When reinstalled the radio went into the refresh signal mode and completed it in less than a minute. Since this action, the radio is up and running almost instantly. Even after leaving it unused for 2 weeks during a trip the signal issue did not return. Try this if you're in a similar position. All it takes is a minute or two.
