Dynamic Yield is a data management platform that purports to offer "personalized, individualized experiences" for customers who use mobile apps, kiosks and drive-through lanes. In other words, targeted advertising. McDonald's will be able to keep track of each customer's food purchases and make suggestions in the hope of getting the customer to spend more. In other words, manipulation and invasion of privacy.

McDonald's first major acquisition in years could be a game changer

The new stores will be one-third the size of the former stores. I think they'll be lucky if they can attract as many as one-third of their former customers.

The two 12-story towers will use renewable energy. They will also likely draw the ire of Seattle residents who don't want their city gradually becoming a Pacific Northwest version of Silicon Valley.

Apple is making a big expansion into Seattle, with plans to put 2,000 employees in two towers blocks away from Amazon's headquarters

If this deal is approved by regulators and shareholders, the merged company will own 60 resorts and casinos in 16 states. Eldorado came to buy Caesars, not to praise it. (Ouch!)

Who could ever have imagined that millions of real people would spend money to see people made of plastic and people made of wax?

iHeartMedia stock will return to public trading on July 18. The company today issued this press release:

"iHeartMedia, Inc. (OTC PINK: IHTM) today announced that its Class A common stock has been approved for listing on the NASDAQ Global Select Market. Upon listing, iHeartMedia’s Class A common stock will trade under the ticker IHRT. As previously announced, iHeart had been evaluating all paths to achieve a listing of its Class A common stock on a recognized U.S. stock exchange following emergence from its restructuring process. iHeartMedia has determined that a listing on the NASDAQ Global Select Market is the optimal strategy for iHeartMedia and all of the company’s stakeholders."

iHeart shares are just barely above $15 right now. Any takers?

I don't know how "special" this event will be. After all, Samsung seems to put out a new Galaxy phone about every three months.

Samsung will unveil its next Galaxy phone at a special event on August 7

WeWork was founded in 2010 in New York City and now operates in 32 countries, providing workspaces for small businesses, startups and freelancers. WeWork also runs a social media site and offers its own healthcare plan to employees. WeWork is a private company but is planning an IPO. I really don't think anyone is going to be in a rush to buy shares.

WeWork isn't even close to being profitable – it loses $219,000 every hour of every day.
