    Switzerland joins a growing number of nations restricting ownership of semiautomatic weapons and requiring gun owners to register their weapons and take periodic gun safety classes. Of course the United States will never take such action as long as Republicans control the Senate and the NRA controls the Republicans. Republicans and the NRA value the right to own an infinite number of guns, with no restrictions or limitations, far more than they value anyone's right to life.
