Insightful letter from Marlin Sobbota of Arcadia in today's Los Angeles Times:
"Trump apparently feels that sanctuary cities and states contribute to our immigration crisis and that these places should be punished by sending them the migrants coming across the border. If sanctuary cities are to blame for this crisis at the border, so are the employers who have made it a practice to hire undocumented workers. If there were no jobs awaiting them, they would not come. So, perhaps a better solution would be to send them to the businesses that have hired undocumented workers in the past; namely, Trump hotels, Trump golf courses and Trump resorts."
Emperor Trump's iron fist strikes again. Attorney General William Barr, who rejects the rule of law and seeks only to do Trump's bidding and to help advance Trump's "Make America Hate Again" program, has decreed that immigration judges no longer can grant bond to asylum seekers who came here illegally and are being detained. That power will now rest solely with DHS, which could keep detainees locked up forever. The ACLU will challenge Barr's ruling.

Our immigrant-hating President, who bragged that he would be always "winning," has just lost another court battle – but this is only a minor setback in his "Make America hate again" campaign.

The Trump administration has separated many thousands of migrant children from their parents, incarcerated parents who should not have been incarcerated, has failed to comply with a court order to reunite the families and doesn't even know how many children remain separated from their parents – or even where those children are. Yes sir, that Donald Trump is all heart.

When our nation's economy is good, our pompous, narcissistic, egotistical President takes sole credit. Of course when the economy is bad, he never assumes any blame or responsibility. This morning on Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel, he again took credit for our booming economy but he also acknowledged one "bad part." Yes, whether directly or indirectly, everything is always about Trump.

The only thing Donald Trump loves more than himself is money – so it makes sense, at least to him, that he covets immigrants' money even though he hates the immigrants.

This ruling by the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals has no immediate effect. Other federal courts have already ordered that the DACA program remain in place. Emperor Trump's policy of "trying to undo everything Obama did" is not working out very well.

Our immigrant-hating Emperor Trump, who has called the seeking of asylum a "hoax" and a "big fat con job," is now requiring asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims are processed. US Customs & Immigration Services, a division of DHS, has a backlog of more than 850,000 cases and a majority of those applicants could be waiting for more than a year before their case is heard. Yes sir, Emperor Trump is all heart.

Emperor Trump plans to install Ken Cuccinelli as head of US Citizenship & Immigration Services. Cuccinelli is a former Virginia Senator and Attorney General and hates immigrants every bit as much as Emperor Trump does. Cuccinelli has sought to repeal birthright citizenship, prohibit undocumented immigrants from attending universities and force employees to speak English in the workplace. It is not surprising that Emperor Trump likes him.
