A district judge, responding to a lawsuit brought by the ACLU, has ordered the Trump administration to release the names of the 101 children under the age of five who have been separated from their parents. Many of the parents have already left the United States -- without their children. Yes sir, Donald Trump and his administration are all heart.

So many children taken away from their parents. We will remember this when we vote in 2018 and 2020.

Trump administration lost track of parents of 38 young migrant children
The parents of 19 young children were already deported and the whereabouts of parents of another 19 are unknown.

Of the 2,551 children age 5 and up who were separated from their parents by the Trump administration's zero-tolerance policy, fewer than half have been reunited with their families -- and that isn't the worst of it:

463 parents separated from their children may have been deported without them, court filing says

The immigration policies of the Trump administration are diametrically opposed to the welcoming message of the Emma Lazarus sonnet The New Colossus, which graces the Statue of Liberty. Unless you're a wealthy, white, American-born Republican, you can forget about being treated fairly by Donald Trump.

Migrants describe frigid, hungry days in 'ice boxes' and 'dog pounds'
    CBS News, Jul 24 2018 10:41 AM

In exhibits filed in federal court this month, 223 migrants detained at the Mexican border this year describe "hieleras" and "perreras" -- Spanish for "ice boxes" and "dog pounds" -- nicknames for the Customs & Border Protection facilities in Texas, Arizona and California where they were initially taken after being apprehended by federal authorities. Their testimonies speak of food "not fit for consumption," overcrowding and abuse.

The statements, which were given to attorneys who interviewed detained migrants and inspected detention sites in June and July, are the latest salvo in the decades-old Flores v Reno case, which in 1997 led to national standards for facilities holding migrant children. Attorneys at the Center For Human Rights & Constitutional Law say the federal government is currently violating those standards.

These are teenagers with mental and emotional problems and, in some cases, a history of violence. The way they are being treated is likely to lead to more violence and emotional problems.

First, go after illegal immigrants. Then go after legal immigrants. Maybe next, Trump will go after all the Native Americans whose land we stole.

Now the Trump administration wants to limit citizenship for legal immigrants
The most significant change to legal immigration in decades could affect more than 20 million would-be citizens, say lawyers and advocates.

Trump is opposed to "chain migration" whereby American citizens can obtain green cards and eventual residency for family members from outside the United States. Trump wants to abolish chain migration. His wife's Slovenian parents just became US citizens -- by chain migration.
