On June 6, 2017, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump's tweets are to be considered "official communications." Today, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump's tweet telling Jeff Sessions to end the Russia investigation is not an official communication. It was merely an "opinion." Yeah, right.

Mueller is looking at Trump's tweets for obstruction of justice -- and Trump just handed him more potential evidence

When asked if he accepts the conclusion of all our intelligence agencies and all our top security officials that Russia is meddling in our elections, President Trump declared, "Hет я не считаю что. я верю Пу́тин."

The evidence of Russian election meddling continues to mount -- and Trump continues to disbelieve it. Sad.

A mountain of evidence points in one direction: Russia sought to sway the 2016 US Presidential election

Let me make sure I have this straight: Trump did not know about the meeting. Trump did know about the meeting. The meeting was about information that would be damaging to Hillary. The meeting was about Russian adoptions. The meeting was not about Russian adoptions. Trump did not tell his son to say the meeting was about Russian adoptions. Trump wrote the statement claiming the meeting was about Russian adoptions. Trump continues to parrot his "fake news" mantra and continues to insist there was no collusion. Okay, I think I understand now.

Robert Mueller's team is investigating Trump for possible obstruction of justice. Trump's lawyers say Trump will sit for an interview provided no obstruction-of-justice questions are asked. Since when does the person being investigated get to set the terms and conditions of an interview? The standoff may end with Mueller issuing a subpoena to Trump. Today's Washington Post dissects the drama:

Donald Trump, who seems to know absolutely nothing about the United States Constitution, says the Mueller investigation into Russian election meddling is unconstitutional. (What is he so afraid of?) Today a federal district judge upheld Mueller's authority. She is the fourth federal judge to do so.

Robert Mueller has already indicted 32 people (including four former Trump advisers) and three Russian companies. Five of those 32 people have pleaded guilty. And Donald Trump, the former reality show host who has absolutely no concept of reality, continues to denounce Mueller's investigation as a "rigged witch hunt."

Trump has said he wants to testify before Robert Mueller's investigative team. Of course Trump says hundreds of things that aren't so. His willingness to testify is obviously not so. It is also obvious that Trump has something to hide. Otherwise, why would he fight a subpoena?

Trump's lawyers are prepared to fight a subpoena all the way to the Supreme Court

Former CIA chief John Brennan slams Trump's 'no collusion' claims as 'hogwash'
    CBS News, Aug 16 2018 7:37 AM

Former CIA Director John Brennan, whose security clearance was revoked by the White House on Wednesday, is calling out President Trump's claims that there has been no collusion with the Russian government on behalf of the Trump campaign in order to sway the 2016 president election. Brennan, in an op-ed for the New York Times, says that Trump revoked his security clearance "in an attempt to scare into silence others who might dare challenge him."

Brennan slammed Trump as "encouraging" Russia to find missing emails deleted from Hillary Clinton's private email server in July 2016, calling into question what Trump did behind closed doors with his closest advisers in order to influence the election. "While I had deep insight into Russian activities during the 2016 election, I now am aware — thanks to the reporting of an open and free press — of many more of the highly suspicious dalliances of some American citizens with people affiliated with the Russian intelligence services. Trump's claims of no collusion are, in a word, hogwash," Brennan wrote.

Trump continues to call Robert Mueller's Russia investigation a "rigged witch hunt" (ignoring all the arrests, indictments and guilty pleas). Trump fired James Comey. Trump fired Sally Yates. Trump fired Andrew McCabe. Trump took away James Clapper's security clearance and is considering revoking the clearance of nine other officials who have been critical of Trump and/or are linked to Mueller's investigation. These are not the actions of an innocent man.

Trump gears up to strip more security clearances from officials tied to the Russia probe
