Stone, like so many other Trump associates, repeatedly denied meeting with Russians. And, like many other Trump associates, he was lying. The truth is out:

Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone met with Russian man in 2016 who wanted Trump to pay $2 million for dirt on Clinton

Giuliani thinks Trump should not testify but Trump wants to. In the past few weeks of the Russia investigation, there have been several indictments, several plea bargains, the jailing of Paul Manafort and more details about meetings between Russians and the Trump campaign. Trump and Giuliani have been working non-stop trying to discredit Mueller, Comey, the Russia investigation, the FBI and the Justice Department. Are these the actions of an innocent man? Nay, say I.

Former Obama officials say Putin was largely undeterred in election meddling efforts
    CBS News, Jun 20 2018 6:13 PM

Two former Obama administration officials said today that a failure to recognize the "scope and scale" of Russia's disinformation and influence campaign – alongside a reluctance to punish the Kremlin at a politically sensitive time – meant president Vladimir Putin was left largely undeterred during the 2016 presidential election.

In a hearing held by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, former assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, who also served in the George W. Bush administration as the US ambassador to NATO, said that apart from issuing a "stern and personal" warning to Putin during a September G-20 summit, President Obama chose to wait until after the election to launch an investigation and a retaliatory response.

Michael Daniel, who served as Obama's cyber security coordinator from 2012 to 2017 and who also appeared as a witness, said officials "didn't actually have a complete understanding of the campaign that was being carried out" until late 2016 and 2017. Both Nuland and Daniel said Russia is likely to continue its efforts to exploit divisions in American society.

Today's hearing was part of the committee's ongoing investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election and follows an earlier hearing on election security. Subsequent hearings are expected to focus on the role of social media and on whether members of the Trump campaign colluded with Russia as it carried out its influence campaign.

Robert Mueller's team is accelerating its probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and the Trump campaign's many ties to Russia. More indictments could be forthcoming. This article explains the Russian connections of 13 Trump associates and family members:

Donald Trump has never accepted the findings of the United States intelligence agencies. Several times he has said, "Putin told me he didn't meddle in our elections and I believe him." Why would a United States President trust the word of a Russian leader more than he trusts the findings of his own nation's intelligence agencies? Be afraid, America -- be very afraid.

Senate panel backs up intelligence agencies, says Russia aimed to help Trump in election
Los Angeles Times, Jul 3 2018 12:45 PM

The Senate Intelligence Committee today backed up conclusions from US intelligence agencies that Moscow interfered in the 2016 election with the aim of helping President Trump win, releasing an unclassified report which called the intelligence assessment solid. "The Committee has spent the last 16 months reviewing the sources, tradecraft and analytic work underpinning the Intelligence Community Assessment and sees no reason to dispute the conclusions," said North Carolina Senator Richard Burr, the panel’s chairman.

The new Senate report does not address the issue of collusion. It did say, however, that intelligence agencies were on solid ground by saying Moscow developed a "clear preference" for Trump.

Mueller's team has already issued 20 indictments and obtained five guilty pleas. And, as the song says, we've only just begun.......

Trump and his lawyers refuse to discuss the facts. Instead, they spend all their time trying to discredit everyone involved in the investigation: "Comey is a liar. Cohen is a liar. Bannon is a liar. Gates is a liar. Flynn is a liar. Manafort is a liar. Mueller is biased. Rosenstein is biased. The investigation is a witch hunt." A man who is innocent would not be attacking everyone this way.

Russia wanted Donald Trump to win our 2016 Presidential election. They created thousands of fake social-media accounts to spread pro-Trump and anti-Clinton propaganda. Is there any doubt they'll meddle in our November election? Or the 2020 Presidential election? Or the 2022 midterms? Or.......

In three days, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will meet in Helsinki. Interpreters, and no one else, will be present. Trump continues to disagree with the findings of US intelligence agencies that Russians meddled in our 2016 election: "Putin says Russia didn't meddle and I believe him." Well, 12 more Russians have just been indicted. This makes 25 so far and Trump still takes Putin's word over the conclusions of our intelligence agencies. As the saying goes, "There is none so blind as he who will not see."

12 Russians indicted in Mueller investigation
    CNN, Jul 13 2018

The Justice Department today announced indictments in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election against 12 Russian nationals, accusing them of engaging in a "sustained effort" to hack Democrats' emails and computer networks.

All 12 defendants are members of the GRU, a Russian federation intelligence agency within the main intelligence directorate of the Russian military, who were acting in "their official capacities."

DOJ says the hacking targeted Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, with the intention to "release that information on the internet under the names DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0 and through another entity."

Yep, just like I wrote above, there is none so blind as he who will not see. The orange parrot continues to ignore reality and spout his three favorite phrases: "Rigged! Fake news! Witch hunt! Rigged! Fake news! Witch hunt! Awwrrkkk!"

Trump was briefed about Mueller's indictments earlier this week -- then today he called the investigation 'rigged' and a 'witch hunt'
