The head of the United Nations: "The world is facing a grave climate emergency. Every nation must stop building new coal plants, cut greenhouse gas emissions by 45% and switch from fossil fuels to solar power." The President of the United States: "Climate change is a hoax. We don't need to worry about greenhouse gas emissions. Now let's get our coal miners back to work!" In Trumpworld, the former reality television star denies reality.

This idea makes sense. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere contributes to global warming. Trees absorb carbon dioxide. All we need to do now is find one trillion unplanted trees and plant them. How difficult could that be?

Planting a trillion trees could be the 'most effective solution' to climate change, study says

Representatives of more than 7,000 schools, colleges and universities worldwide have signed a letter declaring a "climate emergency." Each institution has pledged to combat climate change via research, education and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Meanwhile, Trump continues to insist climate change is a "hoax" and continues to roll back standards for clean air, clean water and fuel efficiency. And let's hurry up and get those coal miners back to work!
