Rising temperatures are causing many glaciers to shrink by more than three feet per year and the bodies of many buried hikers are no longer buried. Eek!

At a faster rate than the rest of the world, Canada has been experiencing increasingly hotter summers, milder winters, decreasing snowfall, glacier melt and rising sea levels -- and I don't hear Justin Trudeau dismissing climate change as a "hoax."

Canada is warming at twice the global rate, report says

In 2015, President Obama created the Advisory Committee for the Sustained National Climate Assessment. In 2017, Trump disbanded it. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo reconvened it. Cuomo calls climate change a "global catastrophe." Trump calls it a "hoax." Cuomo is correct. Trump is not.

Trump disbanded it but climate change panel regroups to release its report

In denouncing Trump's pledge to withdraw from the Paris climate accord and Trump's rollbacks of emissions-cutting regulations, former Secretary of State John Kerry declared, "Regrettably, President Trump has eliminated American leadership and replaced it with know-nothing denial." Kerry is working on an initiative to hold politicians accountable for undermining the fight against climate change.

Glaciers are melting five times faster now than in the 1960s. In some parts of the world, they could be gone by the end of this century. Coastal cities, prepare for flooding!

Global warming in the Arctic is having negative effects on fish, wildlife, flowers, forests and snowfall. Global warming is progressing much more rapidly that we initially believed. How can anyone continue to insist global warming is a "hoax"?

Global warming is pushing Arctic toward 'unprecedented state,' research shows
Rising temperatures are triggering cascading effects across the polar region, from diminishing ice to changes in when plants flower and where wildlife is found.

As glaciers melt, cesium-137 and americium-241 will be released into lakes, rivers and oceans. Animals, when they drink water, will ingest the radioactive isotopes and the food chain will be poisoned. Lovely.

The world's glaciers hold lots of nuclear fallout. Here's what might happen when they melt.
New research finds high levels of radioactive particles frozen in the ice.

The oceans are rising so rapidly, you may someday be able to stay at the Outrigger Reef Resort or the Queen Kapiolani Hotel and go surfing and fishing without ever leaving your room.

Hawaii's Waikiki Beach could soon be underwater due to climate change. Lawmakers are fighting to preserve it.

Antarctica's biggest ice shelf is melting much faster than we thought
    NBC News, May 4 2019

Antarctica’s biggest ice shelf may be more vulnerable to climate change than previously thought. A new study of warm seawater seeping into a cavity below the Ross Ice Shelf shows that a key section of the France-size hunk of ice is melting much faster than the rest.

Ice shelves are thick, floating masses of Antarctic ice that form as nearby glaciers flow toward the sea. Warm water from the deep ocean is causing some ice shelves to melt and disintegrate. As that happens, the flow of glaciers into the ocean accelerates, contributing to a gradual rise of sea levels around the world. By the year 2100, two billion people across the globe could be displaced by rising seas, which threaten to inundate coastal communities and other low-lying regions.

Is our Secretary of State worried about climate change, warming oceans, melting sea ice and rising sea levels? No, he just sees what he thinks are opportunities to make money. Donald Trump must be proud of him.
