In the real world, New York studios are every bit as unoriginal as the Hollywood studios. Case in point:

MTV Studios planning reboots of 1990s TV shows Daria, Aeon Flux, The Real World

Today in Hollywood unoriginality, we have another video game being turned into a movie. Have they not learned their lesson after seeing the dismal box office receipts of movies adapted from Doom, Hitman, BloodRayne, Street Fighter, Wing Commander, Dead Or Alive, Double Dragon, Alone In The Dark and Super Mario Brothers?

"We're in a situation where everyone involved knows the stakes and if you're going to accept those stakes, then you've got to do certain things. It's business." -- Tony Soprano

He must have been referring to Hollywood's unoriginality.

"We named the dog Indiana" -- and we named the latest sequel "Today In Hollywood Unoriginality."

Indiana Jones 5 pushed back to 2021
    Variety, Jul 10 2018 10:27 AM

Indiana Jones 5 has officially been delayed. Disney pushed back the film’s release to July 9, 2021. Variety first reported late last month that the Harrison Ford-starrer would miss its 2020 launch date. The return of the action hero has been halted following issues with the script. The studio also slated Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise for October 11, 2019 and Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent 2 for May 29, 2020.

Steven Spielberg is still attached to direct the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, with Ford reprising his starring role. The feature is one of several franchise reboots commissioned by Disney since the studio giant purchased Lucasfilm.
